Ok!
Indeed I could not find any problems with the Sends(auxs).
Anyway, I'm glad you've got it working now whatever the cause was.

Hey Lemury,

Loving your mixer. Awesome stuff, perfect for my live setup. I have it hooked up to Behringer BCF2000 with automation which rocks. The volume faders and buttons work perfectly, only when I try to control the sends they just set to huge garbage numbers resulting them being in always on full. I have a feeling that it's Eugene who may be needed to fix this and not yourself but having it fixed would be the last bug ruled out of my setup so I'm askin' please!

Cheers dude and keep up the good work, I'm gonna try you're organ (sounds good through Tigers TubeFX) live next week.

Do you mean; the Send sliders automation in MX6 don't work properly?

Yep, them's broke. Something to do with number conversion methinks. They react to automation just not with sensible data.

Ok, I'll have a look at that. Should be easy to fix.

MX6 Send sliders Automation Quick-fix.

Just overwrite ..installpath..\mx6.kxl with this one;

Hey LeMury, any chance of expanding your mixer in the future? The MX6 has totally replaced the KX Mixer for many of us, it's a much cleaner and professional setup. There is just one problem for me... there aint enough inputs! You're obviously a busy man and I may be the only one that needs it but an MX7 or MX8 would be a godsend.

ReWired is on a distinguished road

Hi there!
Those ProFX are just great!!
I will try to explain why (for me) the idea of MX8 seems pretty wonderfull.

Now I am using 3 SRC plugins, MX6, ADC and KXLT. This is the simpliest setup it comes in my mind. So, the 3 SRC are setup to desired busses.
Now - how to control the pan of each SRC? First thing that I think is to use a St.Vol plugin after each SRC, and before MX6.
But, the hell, MX6 has so nice interface!! (instead of St.Vol....)
So, I connected:

SRC1 LEFT -> MX6 Channel ONE LEFT In; SRC1 RIGHT -> MX6 Channel TWO RIGHT Input.
SRC2 LEFT -> MX6 Channel THREE LEFT In; SRC2 RIGHT -> MX6 Channel FOUR RIGHT In.
SRC3 LEFT -> MX6 Channel FIVE LEFT In; SRC3 RIGHT -> MX6 Channel SIX RIGHT In.

Then MX6 Main OUTS L/R goes to my soundcard FRONT Outs, SEND1 L/R to my REAR Outs, and SEND2 L/R to Center/LFE Outs.

On the MX6 interface channels 1/2 have M enabled, all others have M disabled.
Channels 3/4 have Send1 to full, and Channels 5/6 have Send2 to full.

Pretty simple setup, isn' it?

It will be good if I can add to MX6 ADC as input...and because MX6 has no separate volume sliders for stereo channels...then another 2 Stereo channels will do the work for me....

O course, there are a few workarounds, of course, but for me the main goal is to use the more simple setup as possible

Thanks, LeMury, for all your great work!

I'd say; pretty clever too!

I guess in your case you'd need a 'Stereo Balance' per stereo channel.
Others would like 'Mono channels with Pan'.
Yep, it seems we can't have enough different types of mixers .

We don't need so many mixers, just many ways of using them
Although, MX8 will be good in any cases

rewired- mmm, i like your idea of panning, i'll have to try that.

lemury- the reason why i like the idea of mx8 is that i can then route all the available 'src's' (0-15) to different fxbusses for midi use, very handy,

it would be good to have an extra 1 or 2 fx sends into mixer too, but i do realise that could be impossible due to system resources? it would make it easy to be able to apply fx to the midi channels then!

anyway just a thought! but i realise this is all potentially loads of work for you lemury!

Live setup..

ASIO outs from Ableton Live into MX6 Ch 1 for Beats
ASIO outs from Lounge Lizard into MX6 Ch 2 for Live Rhodes
Microkorg via AC97 to MX6 Ch3
Acoustic Guitar into via UDA Left Ch to MX6 Ch4
Send 1 Reverb Return to MX6 Ch5
Send 2 Delay Return to MX6 Ch6
MX6 automation hooked up to behringer BCF2000 pg2 for hands on control of all the levels.

Now I got signal from decks for scratching coming in via UDA Right Ch but nowhere to plug him.

Thought about merging the two returns with a stereomix but the delay return sends back to itself thru a filter for dub feedback which would screw with the reverb.

So in conclusion, bring on the MX8!

Uninstall mx6.kxl - try to open it in kX-DSP, then a error message should appear, unregister mx6, then put the new kxl on the place where the old one was and register it once again. If opend in the DSP, the new plugin should appear with the new implemented settings. I had also some trouble in a kind like this, but now all is working fine. Check also your automation window and your controller source for right settings. If you work via external controller, check the incoming messages via MIDI-OX (with installed MIDIYOKE driver this also works for internal controller sources (sequencers)).

Hi LeMury,
is it normal that the uda output of adc has more backgroundnoise then
the ac97 output? I thought it uses the better phillips converter?
thx BpM

No that's not normal. UDA should have ~9db less noise floor.
The device itself has even less then that, but since this codec gets it's signal from
'AC97 analog mixer output', it is ~-82db vs. AC97 which is ~-72db.

no matter what input source i use (aux, line) the peak meter shows higher values from the uda output. i get uda: ~-70db ac97: ~-80db

Maybe some wrong connection in DSP or on the card. Crosstest on my system confirms LeMury´s statement.

Quite strange, is there something connected on your card? Is there audible noise to hear on UDA input? Try to move the card into another PCI-Slot to get it away from noise sources inside the computer case. I don´t know...

Hmm,..I don't know either atm.
It look's as if both ADs yield approxamatly the same noise floor.
What card type?

PS:
If you want to make a screenshot try PrintScreen and then Paste into Paint.

audigxy 2zs (sb0350)
noise with always the same source (mixer):
ac97(line) < Ac97(aux) < UDA ac97 (line) < ac97(aux)
i tried it without connecting anything to the sound card, same results.
