Yes, that is a known issue, and it is the same with 3538j.

Hey LeMury:

Any plans for releasing the New ProFX version for .3538j? Or are you just gonna wait for .3538 final before you make the new ProFx version available?

ProFx will probably be re-written not just re-compiled.
When, is a matter of (free)time, not a matter of any new driver version release.

Any chance of doing just a recompile until you have time to re-write it? (I miss the ADC plugin in particulair).

I agree, I have to use a ADC where I cannot even see the sliders! thats how much I like that plugin...why did it mess up like that in 3538i anyhow? just curious.

I use prolog myself - may I ask why you are 'forced' to use ADC?

Not forced I just got used to using it in older versions and it became part of alot of my effect setups for my guitar..if functions and all just can't see everything..I guess it happens to everybody and in version 3538j as well...thats all

Yes - that version wasn't supposed to be included with 3538J.

I reverted back to Prolog for that reason - well, I'll use SRC too - But I also reverted back to epilog so I can use my MM keyboard to control volume/mute with it.

Man, ADC makes possible Mic and Line In simultaneous mono recording!!!! That's the usefulness and fantastic feature about ADC!!! Without ADC, one can only record either Mic or Line In, not both simultaneously (to separate tracks).

LeMury:

I'm with Russ. That's why I inquired about if you would release a version of the new ProFX for .3538j. It takes so long in between driver releases, and it would really be nice if you did release the new ProFX for .3538j til you complete the newly written ProFX plug ins.

You know we'll continue greatly appreciating you for it.

Oh yes, I remember reading this...

(ps - obviously not a feature I would use personally)

well the ADC still works just you cannot see the sliders..but other than that it all works...so I would just us it instead of rolling back..see I can't rool back because all previous version are incompatible with my new card SB0400. SO I waited until KX supported this card adn went and picked it up..

Hiya guy. My Internet expires in April, so I hope you would release a new ProFX before then. I dont know if or when I could get Internet again, so I'm pleading with you to release something before April, if time permits.

ProFx v3.0 (compiled for 3538j)

ProFx v3.0 (compiled for 3538j)

Screenshot:
http://members.home.nl/nahutec/kxplugins/pfx3_shot.PNG

Download links on first post!

- removed: kXGUI and MFC dependancy

Notes:
- Since I wrote the entire GUI framework
from scratch using plain win32 api only,
user should experience faster GUI load times
and less CPU usage.
(i.e. the 8 Peak meters in MX6 should consume
hardly any CPU time)

- Allthough compiled for 3538j it is
very likely it will also work on future 3538 driver releases.
(because it doesn't use KXGUI)
It will NOT work on 3537 or earlier because
it uses some of the newer 3538 api features.

- You are free to choose which build to use.
Theoreticly the Release build should work fine,
but since everything in kX is Debug release...bla bla bla.

- Note that the old MX6 does not get overwritten.
You'll find the new MX6 in the ProFx section
using the GUID of old k2lt.
Previously saved DSP-setups have to be re-wired.

I did not have the time to check everything,
so please report any bugs.

/LeMury

EDIT:
Installation; Just unzip and register the .KXL file that's all.

Thank you so much!!!! Looks and sounds great!!! Great work! Off to install.

EDIT

All works great, and all plugins can be renamed, too! That's very nice! Thanks LeMury for all your work and consideration toward us! Oh yeah, GUI loading is like instantaneous! It takes like a second for other plugin GUIs to load, but these new ProFX plugins load instantaneously! The ability to rename the MX6 channels is great, too!

LeMury, kXlt shows wrong names for the APS card, it displays names as for a live! card, I think. I'll test the individual outs later. The SRC works great, though.

Other than that the plugins run very fast, great!

Miquel, can you tell me which previous ProFx kXlt version showed APS names correctly?
I need that info since I can not test/verify it myself.

I think it was the version you released with an installer, was it for 3538h? The version that comes with j works ok but being older, maybe not as useful to know about.

I seem to remember reporting a similar bug but I think it happened with SRC, not sure, sorry.

GUI loading could even be more faster if I would refrain from using an exe compressor.
BTW try;
- right-click on the titlebar. Gives context menu with "keep visible" and "Open DSP".
-Same on the taskbar icon. (God knows how often we have to open the DSP right?)
Also;
- If a plug is already opened but minimized, doubleclicking on it's DSP window
will now restore it and bring the plug in the foreground.
(too many times I've doubleclicked in the DSP window to try open a plug that
was already opened but minimized and,... nothing happend )
- saving a preset now presents the current preset name (unless it has been closed/re-opened). Handy for saving 'lookalike' presets.
- save/delete preset Dialogs now respond to Enter/Cancel keys like it should.

Anyway, ... glad you like it but be prepared for some bugs too.
(can't write an entire framework from scratch whithout producing some bugs)

Yes, that was with SRC (see your name in first post of this thread).

Anyway, np, shouldn't be to hard to fix kXlt but I like I said, I need you or another APS owner
to test and report back.

edit:The SRC plugin has listings for the AC97/UDA inputs, i though there were removed in an earlier version as the ADC plugin made them redundant?

Keep Visible and Open DSP are nice features (we have Russ' PluginQL Addon to help in this area, too).

"Also;

Yes, that was a pain in the butt. I would have to minimize the DSP to get the plugin GUI to show agian. Nice work on fixing this problem!

"- saving a preset now presents the current preset name (unless it has been closed/re-opened). Handy for saving 'lookalike' presets."

That's convenient.

"- save/delete preset Dialogs now respond to Enter/Cancel keys like it should."
Cool, it works with the Esc and Enter keys of the keyboard.

"Anyway, ... glad you like it but be prepared for some bugs too.
(can't write an entire framework from scratch whithout producing some bugs)"

I will post here, if I find any bugs.

Hey, not to try to disturb you or any thing, but what happened to maybe having an MX8? That would allow for a purely ProFX DSP setup (with the exception of FX Plugins) entailing Wave 0/1 (for WMP playback), 2/3, 4/5, 6/7, 8/9 (for MIDI, and all wave devices,), ADC for Mic and Line In, Plus 2 effects can be always enabled for FX Sends via the MX8. That would be great!

Anyway, I'm not pressuring you, was just asking if you were still considering making a MX8. Thanks for all your work, LeMury! I wont forget you.
