I'm not sure it is a good idea to host them because you'll have to always make sure to have the latest version. You could forget to update the files and host an older version containing errors. Keep that in mind.
I don't know where you could host the files. I have 5 MB free from my ISP and that's what I use when I want to host files. I never looked elsewhere so I can't help you. The new plugin for uipe is coming along well. I made a mistake and I reversed the left and the right. I also reverses the front and the rear. Except for that mistake, it seems to work somewhat. I don't want to post something that does not work well. I'll correct my mistakes, verify my equations and the behaviour of the plugin. Once it's satisfactory, I'll post it. It may take a few days.

tril,
just been testing your delay, seems to work fine. sorry it took a while i got too wrapped up in writing a song with lemurys asynth! hmm, i wonder though, when i use both right and left delay faders i lose the original note. i.e.-when i press a note on keyboard i dont hear it ...just the two dealys. any idea whether this can be changed so i can hear the original note too? kind regards trev

If you heard the original note, it would be an echo plugin.
If it's an echo plugin that you are looking for, Russ echo plugin may be a good solution. If you want to use my plugin and still hear the original note, there is a way with the DSP. Add a Stereo Mix. Raise both volumes to 100%. Connect the delayed signal to the Stereo Mix and connect the non-delayed signal to the Stereo Mix. I uploaded a new version of the plugin for 3538. I changed the plugin to mono and 500 ms. If you want stereo you load two. If you want a longer delay you load two. |

Well Not really..depends on how you look at it. An echo has a time constant decay factor. I think he wants something similar to a guitar delay, where you can mix the original signal in with the generated one......Just use a stereo mix..see thats whats great about KX, what ever you can come up with you can probably do....

I updated the 3538 plugin. It is now compiled for the 3538i version of the drivers. Link in first post. Same as before.
I also updated the picture of the Tweak window. Eugene was supposed to include the plugin in this release of the drivers but he did not. I sent him the files but I guess that he forgot or something. |

I'd just like to add this plugin is great when used in conjunction with redocnexk - it allows me to output from the card itself with the same latency I get from the ac3 output.

Re: I made a simple delay filter with sample and ms display
Hi guys,
I use kx-project for actively crossing over a 3-way speaker. I got very impressive results with a consumer grade speaker i picked up from craigslist. I'll post a summary with pictures and measurements of my project soon. I need a finer resolution for TheSmallDelay function. Currently it increments at 3samples steps. Can somebody help me get 1sample steps? The reason: aligning the drivers on a common time/phase plane as shown on this diagram. http://i45.tinypic.com/1tssub.gif The voice coil of a woofer extends a few cm further back from the mounting plane. Thus the sound produced from a tweeter is essentially closer to the listener than the sound from the woofer. The effect produced is that the tweeter is playing a few samples ahead of the woofer. 1 sample at 48kHz = 0.000020833sec. Sound travels at 344m/s. So for the time from 1 sample to the next, sound will travel 7.166mm. Help will be greatly appreciated!! Last edited by boris81; Dec 17, 2009 at 11:59 PM. Reason: the dsp samples at 48kHz |
