haha! it almost like i think that u guys are getting paid for helping me, if u do have icq or msn u can send me screenshots there and i can see how u have connected, because unfourtnatley im a bit ..slow with all these inputs outputs and so on, and since i am a total beginner with cubase at all it is kinda hard to udnerstand the logic behind all those terms, but u can reach me on icq: 58707710 or msn: hetfield_roam@hotmail.com
i would appreciate this very much, thanks again |

go to my site and look at screen2 .bmp. this is a very basic setup to start with which will send you on your way hopefully??? you need to then find in cubase where the ASIO input is going to (that depends where you connect in the dsp ASIO window). once you found it then you can record it! easy trev

ok i will start with my own dsp now trying to copy from ur bmp, but i have loaded the src first, and changed from line in to mic ac97 because i will use a mic to record, thats a correct start right? then just fill up with the others stuff.

my line in (mic) is A3/A4 in. but i use an APS soundcard so yours may be different! just fiddle with the inputs in the src untill you get a level! use a 'peak meter' in dsp to monitor the level!

after you have done the dsp go into cubase.
have you set your vst ASIO inputs? this is found in cubase/devices/vst connections. you can add as many input busses as you need. i.e.- stereo, stereo1, stereo2 etc. connect them to stereo- L- 1 kx out 00 R- 2 kxout 01 stereo 1- L- 3kx out02 R- 4kx out03 etc etc. do you get it?

wow!! i got singal in the peak meterfrom the first src!! haha....my first true step to world-domination of home-recording! But one thing, in ur page u dram the connections from just one same src (left i think) but in lemurys pic it is from both, how do i know the difference?
so i have copied the dsp setup from this page since it was a lot easier than ur settings: http://members.home.nl/nahutec/kxtutor/quickkx.htm so when i setup the other src how do i know what to choose there? sorry if i am asking so many things but i still dnt really know what i am doing, im just pushing what u tell me to push,,but maybe with time i will start understanding what i actually do |
