DPL2 decoding ?

Hi,

is there a possibility to use the dsp of the sb live for decoding DPL2 ? For example like this:

LineIn (2ch) --> (DSPPL2 decoding) --> LineOut (5ch)

Hi,

thank you for answer. I tried ProLogica but it doesn`t produce real 5.1 output like ProLogic II should do. The rear signal is always mono.

Prologica isn't Prologic II - it's a pretty good emulation of Prologic, which is copyrighted by Dolby Labs... hence the 'a' in Prologica.

has anyone really attempted the real 5.1 upmix? perhaps Dolby surround 2? SRS Circle Sound? the principle of operation already out.

The original "Prologic" Spec had One Channel for Surround... Where as dolby digital sepearted the channels to Discretes....major improvment in my opinion...haven't heard ProII..which by the SPec is just "Upscaled" Dolby Digital?

Dolby ProLogic II is an analog encoding similar to the original Dolby ProLogic/Surround encoding, except that it encodes two discrete rear (surround) channels. That's all I know about it though.
