Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Hey Russ, I find this addon immensely useful. Thank you so much for making it in the first place, however kX Driver 3550 just came out recently, so I was wondering if there was a new version of PluginQL in the works at all that would be supported by these newer revisions. Thanks again.

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I have a version compiled for 3548 (32 bit) that should work with 3550, but I really have not had a chance to test everything out as of yet. You can play around with it if you want: Link

Fantastic! Thanks so much! I'll let you know if I discover anything peculiar in running it.

Oops, I forgot to include the plugin (for MIDI automation)...
Download the file again if you need the plugin. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
For some reason the 3550 build isn't recognized as a valid addon by kX in Windows 7. Am I doing something wrong? Does it work for anyone else?

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Are you using 32 bit or 64bit win7? Also, I'm not sure if it's been ported to 3550 or if it needs to be....... Russ would know, he's the man.

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
As Tyrsonswood indicated, it is currently only available for the 32 bit version of kX. Beyond that, I do not know. I have Windows XP, so I have not done any testing on Vista/7, but I cannot think of any reason why the addon registration process would be any different on those OS's (32 bit).

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Yeah it's the same machine as before, same kX version. Just upgraded the OS. 32bit Win7, 3550, so I have no idea why it wouldn't work. I just redownloaded the package to make sure my copy didn't get corrupted somehow. "Error: Invalid plugin library" is still all the mixer gives me when trying to load. Regardless of elevation (tried rerunning the mixer as Admin and doing it), and regardless of file placement (tried Desktop since I thought Program Files might have been causing an ownership issue with loading). Baffling.

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Wait a second... I think I know what the problem is. The addon has the following dependencies:
MFC71.DLL MSVCR71.DLL I guess I must have used VS .NET 2003 when I compiled that for 3548... And I bet you do not have those dll's. When I have the chance I will try recompiling the addon and see about removing those dependencies. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I recompiled the addon removing those dependencies. Download the new version and give it a try.

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I am glad it works for you
![]() ...sorry for the confusion, I forgot that I used a different compiler with the 3548 version. Let me know if it gives you any problems on Win7. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Oddly enough I changed cards (from SB0220 to SB0350) and now the addon doesn't show even though it registered and no Effects show up in the DSP.. everything is normal when I run kxmixer as Administrator however..
Edit: Worked around it by taking the kxmixer startup registry entry out and making it a startup task with highest priveleges (administrator rights) in Task Scheduler. kX has some definite elevation issues to work out for proper Windows 7 compatibility. ![]() Edit2: Turns out it was a widerspread problem I was experiencing with many programs not saving settings unless Admin. Very troubling; so I reinstalled Windows 7 and all works as it should now. Last edited by osm0sis; Mar 11, 2010 at 05:22 AM. Reason: wow. not sure what the problem was but it was bad. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Has anyone got a link to the previous 3539 version?
I'm currently using driver 3545 on XP, and I don't think there's any reason for me to upgrade (some of the plugins I use aren't updated for the latest version). Thanks. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I no longer have the older version (due to hard drive death - thankfully I have some of the sources on another drive), and currently do not have any dev tools installed (not even running Windows at the moment) to recompile it. Hopefully another kX user has it for you.

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
Would anyone be so kind as to upload version 3539 of PluginQL?
I'm sure many people must have it hidden away on their hard drives, but as of now it's MIA! Thanks very much. |

@edwarder
Did you ever get a hold of the 3539 version? If you still need it let me know, and I will see about recompiling it for 3539. |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I compiled a 64 bit version for 3551 Alpha (for testing). It is just the addon (and only includes 64 bit version). It is untested (as I do not have a 64 bit machine to test with). Note: It might be compatible with some previous x64 versions of kX (3548-3551a).

Sorry for the supremely late reply! I had a brief flirtation with an M-Audio Revolution 5.1, but am back with my Audigy 2 ZS and kx project drivers. No, I never did find that version. If you still have the ability and time to compile it, it would be much appreciated. Thanks! Ed |

Re: PluginQL -- A kX Addon
I'm not able to download anymore any of the plugin.
I need them both for XP32 and 7 64 (Kx3550 and Kx3551a) where I can find them? |

Sorry I do not have any web site up currently to host the files, etc.
You can download all of the plugins (as one file) here. |
