Guys, i have a news for you.
From now and on, the UFX package is not anymore free of charge - it becomes "commercial". If you've downloaded and used it before 4th November of 2007 - you're still free to use it. But right form today and further, the UFX's author asks you to donate some amount of money you feel affordable for you to "Podari Zhizn'!" relief fund. It's a fund to help the children suffering from oncological and hematologic sickness. The requisites you need are: Ôîíä Ïîäàðè æèçíü! Ðåêâèçèòû If you do not want to help these particular Russian children or you're feeling you don't like Russia whatever it goes - it's OK - we don't want to force you - it's equal if you just do the same for the children of your own country. Please - do so. Max promises you - these kids will gift to our next generation thousands of new UFXs - just if they do not die. Thank You, Max Mikhailov Last edited by Max M.; Feb 21, 2008 at 12:31 PM. |

@Max,
When you have a chance, check out my plugin download page and see if it is OK with you (regarding UFX downloads). Basically, when you load the page, there is only links to your notice, but once you click one of those links (opens notice in another window), it gives the download links. This way, if you make changes to your notice, etc, I do not have to update my page (as it is a direct link to your post). (above link is no longer valid) Last edited by Russ; Nov 10, 2009 at 03:19 PM. |

Hello Max,
is there a way to translate the site you mentioned above to all people who cannot read / understand the russian language? Greetings TravelRec. Last edited by TravelRec.; Dec 12, 2007 at 04:32 PM. |

Babel Fish Translation does a half decent job of translating web pages (but it does not seem to auto-translate across links generated by javascript, etc (i.e. the topMenu links on that site)).

Hi Max,
Although UFX appears to be compatible with 3540, the UFX installer does not appear to work. It gives a message about only working with kX 3538k or later, and exits. Registering ufx.kxl (and the .da files in the 'ext' folder) from the old install folder (from 3539) works. Last edited by Russ; Mar 29, 2008 at 05:19 AM. |

Hmm, OK, maybe it is just me again (it is not the first time I have had problems with the UFX installer (when no one else did) although it was different this time, so I did not think it was the same issue).

@Max
I finally figured out why the UFX installer is always giving me problems. I have a kX Project Installers folder where I keep all the kX installers (and where I usually install kX stuff from), etc, and it contains the files from kX 3538h. It seems that the UFX installer is looking at the version of kxapi.dll in this folder (when run from this folder) instead of the one in WINDOWS\system32, and that is what was causing the problem. -Russ Last edited by Russ; Apr 9, 2008 at 04:45 PM. Upon installing UFX 3539pre with kX V 3543 (24 bit introduced) - when I try to open *default* DSP - I can see only 3 plugins (#11 Peak,10 Epilog, 9 Surrounder) with an error: (presumably when adding the new G10 EQ)
Debug Assertion Failed! Program: Path/To/kxmixer.exe File: afxwin1.nl Line19 (bla bla) System: Audigy 2 ZS Plat (SB0350) - WinXP SP2. While others reported success (maybe lives with no 24 bit or G10 Eq by default..??). I tried both with kX mixer exited and while running - and get same error. I thought this debug stuff was removed in earlier versions of kX - seems confusing to me for this 'debug assertion' error to occur. Now, it would seem, with the adding 24 bit stuff - the debug stuff could be useful. But, It's just 'fyi' anyway - and opportunity to say thanks for all your efforts Max. (and everyone else too). |

39pre is the wrong version, you should be using the 39 version.

Re: Plugins in Uniform ("UFX")
Seems all my favourite plugins are by Max! Any chance of updating UFX for 3550? PeakX and GainX are really useful - and Eq P5 is the most beautiful plugin on kX!

Re: Plugins in Uniform ("UFX")
I feel that UFX should be a 'default' install with the drivers... but idk how that works since Max programmed it and not Eugene...

But I´m afraid they don´t seem to work with the driver version 3550. The Installer refuses to install and even when I register the .da files by hand they don´t show up. Will there be an update? I hesitate to update my main working machine to 3550 without UFX. |

Re: Plugins in Uniform ("UFX")
HI , it is regarding the REVERB R effect. I was wondering about the most bottom left knob of this REVERB R effect which has the function/feature of "SIZE" .
Is it all the while been greyed out ? I'm waiting for a version of UFX for kx3550 , hope to hear some good news soon. Thanks a million ![]() Bob |

Plugins in Uniform ("UFX")
Meanwhile the ufx package for 3550 is available (x86 only)
(Corresponding ufx.45 (for kX 3545) is available as well, but this is more like a "maintenance" release - you don't really want it if you already have ufx.39 installed.)
