This is what 600bhp worth of selfishness and celebration wrapped up in aluminium, carbon fibre and anti-radar material looks like. Welcome everyone, to Lamborghini, and the new Egoista concept car. Wipe down the windows on your way in, please.

OK people. You know what I'm talking about.

The ground rules are simple. Please follow the format presented in this post. Please keep the numbering sequence in tact.

Here are some that I can think of off the top of my head.

1. "Two footed drivers" are people who obviously drive with one foot over the gas pedal and another foot over the brake pedal. The "tell-tell" sign of this is when said driver is going at or above the speed limit but their brake lights are always going off and on at random moments.

2. "Turtles in the fast lane" are those drivers who will drive SLOWER than the speed of traffic in the FAST lane. You can't pass them up they're already in the fast lane and the drivers using the slow lane correctly will just get you boxed in

3. "Slow mergers" are those drivers who will literally take a half mile or more to merge into the next lane.

4. When merging onto the freeway, a car will not let you merge onto the freeway. instead, they speed up or slow down with you when they CLEARLY have the next lane over completely CLEAR of any traffic!!!

5. People who make a left or right turn AFTER the light has turned red on them because "they caught it on yellow" holding up the rest of the traffic that is still currently stopped even though their light is now green.

Car stereo - Bluetooth or not..

Well, I want bluetooth so I can stream easily with spotify on my phone.

Problem is, I'm kinda in the middle of what to do here. All I know is that I prefer to have the integrated car stereo, it looks nice and clean like it does right now.

I got one of these: Jabra Cruiser 2 last year and as a bluetooth handsfree for my phone it works pretty well. It also have an FM transmitter that doesn't work so well but I can stream from my phone with that and I discovered that putting in the USB charger cable in it and letting it hang over the backseat of my car the reception is a lot better.

Though, this is a hack I really don't like, and it doesn't look neat with a cable hanging like that.

One alternative I have is this: Blaupunkt Bluetooth Interface which is made for the Blaupunkt BOSE stereo I have in my car. It's a decent thing which will interface my phone with my car stereo as well as having a USB in so I can use one of those to store music on as well. With this the control buttons on my wheel will continue to work.

Problem with this one is that it's discontinued. I have to find a used one and I really don't like to buy used stuff, I never know if it works properly and so on. Then there's also the fact that some say it isn't all that great.

Another alternative is this: Gateway Lite BT whick will give me almost everything I want except displaying song titles and such. I can live without that. I've read some reviews of it and it sounds good, better than the Blaupunkt version.

Downside with this is that it's rather expensive compared to the other solutions.

Then there's the last solution, a new car stereo with Built-in Bluetooth, USB and such. From an audiophiles point of view this is probably the best solution. With a low level connection it will work just fine with the BOSE system already in my car (4 dual way speakers and sub woofer with an amplifier to drive them). I will also get all the functions possible and it will work out of the box as a handsfree for my phone if I get the correct type of stereo. There are even adapters avaliable for some to make the wheel buttons work, something I really really want to keep. This solution might even be cheaper than the Gateway alternative.

The downside here is that it won't look as nice as it does now. On the other hand I won't have some lose USB cable hanging somewhere like I will with the other solutions. From many points of view this is probably the best final solution but it just doesn't feel right to destroy the nice and unified panel.

This is how it looks now. (Not my picture and not my car but it looks the same)

Putting in a black blob of a new stereo will destroy that and make it look less classy in my view.

Why are these things so hard to decide?

A joint arrangement by the respective clubs even though Alfa Romeo is the dominant factor with almost 200 cars present.
Perfect weather and lots of nice people.

One of the side skirts have started to come off. It looks absolutely horrible. It's attached with clips on the lower end but on the top side it's glued and that glue seems to have come to an end.

I've tried to clean as well as I can and then put some supposedly strong double adhesive tape but it just won't stick so I guess it wasn't that strong after all.

Don't know what to do about this really. I should replace both skirts because the other one is a little bit cracked and the one that's coming off has some ugly marks on it but I just can't afford to do this right now. At the same time I don't want it to look this awful because the car is in great condition otherwise and I'm going to a big club meeting in a few days....
