Very fun read.

So, creating a "bubble" which isolates the matter of the ship from the "outside" with a layer/bubble of something which has no such problem, would make it possible for a ship to travel faster than light or at least have the same final result, change position from place A to place B in "no time".

It's basically a form of "cheating" lol. I love it. I hope they manage to make it work.

Well, the funny thing is I personally don't believe money is the most important thing in life. I believe it is all about family and friends, and since I am a Christian, following Jesus' footsteps closely since that is what the bible says is what will make you happy.

Of course the media has brainwashed everyone into thinking material things are all you need and the more you have, the happier you'll be, and many a man have found themselves on their death bed regretting their ride on the merry-go-round of this world, it's all about the rat race.

However, it seems like if you don't have money you can't have fun, no money no honey, no money no funny. You can't go out with your friends and have a good time, you can't buy the things you want or even eat or live without money. So I do believe it is a means to an end. I personally believe money facilitates happiness but I think it is only that way because of the banking system and capitalism that we all follow. I personally believe that with today's technology we would be able to live without a monetary system in a utopia, or something very close to it. Note I said with today's technology. Without machines to do everything for us in the past and technology to support a utopian system, the monetary system, and bartering systems had to be set up in order for society to operate.

I personally think we have outgrown the monetary system and it should be replaced with a new and improved system. But that's just me.

So what's your take on the whole matter? Does cash rule everything and will it always be king? (or as the Wu Tang Clan said in their famous song, C.R.E.A.M., Cash Rules Everything Around Me)

Btw, I personally don't have a lot of cash, I have just enough. And for that I am thankful. Some people literally don't have two nickels to rub together.

Has anyone sat down to watch this show yet?

I personally prefer to let a TV show get a few episodes in before I sit down to watch any of it,...

Has anyone sat down to watch this show yet?

I personally prefer to let a TV show get a few episodes in before I sit down to watch any of it, simply due to the pilots usually requiring follow up episodes to further fill in a lot of the gaps and really straighten things out. So I recently watched all 4 episodes back to back for the FULL effect. I was quite interested in it prior to it's launch and I've mostly heard good things about the MMORPG.... but then again I don't know many people that actually play it. So far haven't seen anything bad from anyone I would trust to make a decision on it worth effecting my purchase decision in the future.

Anyways... back to the show.

The show kinda started off rather vague and fast paced, one moment you're seeing something happening that is clearly a huge deal, and suddenly your wisked off into the future with a very brief explanation of what occurred between the opening scene and now.

A lot of the the holes in what is actually going on, what had happened are filled in over the course of the pilots show, by the time you get close to the end, at least for me, almost all the necessary details were filled in. Granted it's a tv series, you can't expect EVERYTHING to be accounted for off the bat, otherwise we wouldn't be watching a tv series, we'd be watching a movie.

There was what I thought was a nice build up of a plot and story arc, enough to hit a nice climax, and a pretty good conclusion to that specific event which then leads on into the "series".

Follow up episodes really start to clear up the species and overall essence of the shows characters. And it's not a cut and dry situation for who may or may not be the bad guys and good guys, clearly there is some underlying "badness" in some and good in others, but I think they are easily relatable to.

Overall in a 4 episode run thus far, I'm interested more than I needed to be to keep following it. It looks like it is building up a pretty good story and potential big events. It's hard for most shows to get a firm grip on me to regularly watch a show.

Since the end of stargate, and most recently Fringe and a few others that were canceled (The Event, V 2009, and Futurama for example).... My list of tvs shows had dropped dramatically down to just Game of thrones, mlp, Tron Uprising, and Grimm (which isn't exactly something i'm super interested in, but will watch out of boredom).

So it's nice to be able to add another show to watch to my roster. Seems almost everything available today is pure garbage Reality tv shows or just cookie cutter drame/investigation/etc. shows that really have no story at all worth mentioning other than interpersonal relationships which is imo just a waste of film. (stargate universe, your first season was almost entirely a waste of film)

Not sure if this is even the right place to post something like this, but I'm clueless.

Just wanting to know of a good place to sell old/used PC parts. Here's an example:
Got an old QUANTUM Fireball EX 6.4GB harddrive. On eBay, they're between 110-190 bucks.
I find that to be quite ridiculous, but hell what do I know? I'd put one up for like 50-75?
Only because they're apparently pseudo-collector's items & I could really use the cash...

Anyway, point is, I have a lot of old PC parts that are seemingly fairly sought-after by
folks online, so I'm trying to figure out the best place to try & get the stuff sold off.

On top of PC stuff, I also have some older PCs (late 90s) and old game consoles (Sega
Genesis & Master System, NES, Atari + games for each) & even a 13-inch, 1985 color TV
to go with 'em. Thanks in advance.

he was skinny as a supermodel, freezing cold, had kitty sniffles, and was so hungry he literally tried to steal food out of C's mouth
thought he was just staying with us until we found his owner, but nobody's responded to our ads, and we heard yesterday that other folk in the same area had found other kittens the same age abandoned
so looks like someone dumped a litter

I've gotten hooked on watching this new series via On Demand since I normally am at work during its live broadcast. If you have SyFy, and can get caught up through the first 3 episodes, I'd encourage you to do so.

A good buddy at work has gotten the game, too. He says it's totally taken over his gaming for now. But, he cautioned me that there's not much in the way of a Single Player story to it. So, if you're into Co-Op play, you may want to check it out.

But, the TV series is worth taking a look-see, IMHO.
