Search This Forum Function -- Covered by AD
I'm not objecting at all to the AD. But, when I try to do a Search This Forum, the popup box gets tucked behind the AD. Can that be fixed?

Otherwise, one has to know that they can type something and then hit ENTER to proceed.

Well it's doing that because Flash always takes the highest z-index, there's not much to be done apart from moving the ad, but I don't really see the need, if a user doesn't know to simply hit enter, they can still get to the main search page via the main menu.

PS.. next time use big red arrows, they love big red arrows!

EDIT- I checked and that doesn't happen to me.. must be because of my screen resolution?

EDIT- yeah it does.. forget it.. It only does it on that one spot.. Disregard this.

What res are you using? I have the Desktop set to 1280x1024, but I don't use it all up with the browser. That's slight smaller for navigating to other things.

Well I noticed it doesn't happen for instance at the top of this page, only when viewing the list of all sub forums..


I am using 1400 x 1050.. the highest my monitor goes @ 85hz :-) Nice res for a flat 19" CRT. 1600 x 1200 @ 75hz is OK for games, but text is too small for web surfing and whatnot.

Sorry to resurerct this older thread....

I'm pretty sure if you put the AD in a DIV tag as well - (its currently in a table ( - which has no spec for Z-depth btw) and I dont see its DIV container) - you can then assign it a lower Z than the search popup DIV layer.
