A Humble Request...

...for people like me that are short of funds but would like to build a new rig on a tight budget. Would it be possible to review annually or six-monthly motherboards with on-board video.

For example Asus, Gigabyte and MSI do 775 boards based on the g965 chipset with the intel GMA x3000 graphics processor.

It would enable me to make a more informed choice when I buy a 775 board, CPU, value branded DDR2 and to have a rig up and running quite cheaply. It would then be possible to continue saving for separate GFX card, higher spec mobo, RAM and CPU when more funds become available.

At the moment it is almost impossible to find any reviews on any site for these types of boards. I think people must look down on people like me...**sniff**

yeah...Toms Hardware is good...but not that good...and DH could certainly do a better job reviewing mainstream boards anyway.

Well as of late, it seems that there had been some good mobo reviews. No offense coz but who wants to see shoddy hardware j/k . This will be a cool little change away from the drewling over high end schtuff.

I am currently seeking legal advice on whether DH should be held accountable for the damage to my current rig. If it wasn't for the constant stream of reviews of high quality, classy and beautiful components I would not have dribbled all over the mainboard resulting in irrepairable damage. My lawyer is also closely looking at the possibility of damages being sought due to the deep emotional impact on me and my family. My significant other is too traumatised to work and my parrot has plucked out all of its feathers. It looks so pink, bald and sad (the parrot, not the significant other)

I dont know what your budget is however we recently reviewed this: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/...abitfat190.php and it has a few minor niggles (which should get ironed out by bios updates) however is a great little board.

Yes, I'd seen that review and it does look nice. All the reviews you do are really in-depth and very informative. Maybe if the BIOS problems are sorted it could be an option for me. But it's the only review I've seen anywhere recently for anything onboard graphics. The only other one I saw was a 'preview' for the GA-965G-DS3 on hardwarezone.com. I need more than one option to choose from....

I would prefer a full ATX as opposed to a mATX and just want to see some reviews dammit!! (j/K)

All of the ATX boards I can find haven't been reviewed accept by customers at Newegg etc and I wouldn't trust them.

Anyhow, this now sounds like a moan when it wasn't meant to be.

Thanks and bye for now
