STICKY .. Concerning Members and number of posts

I certainly hope this will not become another endless debate.
It matters little how much we post. Actually I try to post where I may be of help (Off of the Warzone of course, but I'm retired there). ("COUGH" when I can control myself LOL)

As ToshiroOC said although registered since June. His RL posting on DH started in Dec.
With a little kick in the pants from Dig and I.

I was registered in July. I didn't start posting until later.

My BIG MOUTH prevailed.
As for you members worried Bout posting check out some of my posts. DOH !!!
Were all friends here. SPEAK UP and SPEAK YOUR MINDS.

A 10 post min for contests I support. As well as donating.
1 American Dollar for every DH Member equals 1 x 28000 not a lot to ask hmmm....

Just my 2 cents

Happy Bday DH !!!!!!!!!

I enjoy the political and technical forums, and even some Warzone posts that might be worth a funny remark I can use later...but as far as posting aggressively, I use caution always, because I have been stepped on by mods in a kind of "I'm the mod and what I say goes" attitude. I am not compelled to donate a damn thing, they are not my friends, nor do they demonstrate the slightest inclination to provide anything more than warnings, and my post are mild and balanced. After some bad experiences I saw the true colors, so use the forums to read what other's across the world think, and to gleen what I can from. If money is the only thing that seems to make a difference here then any contribution short of money is rather moot. I am cynical of Microsoft but I have to use their products for various reasons, therefore I am cynical of Bill Gates...And participation in forums can raise my hackels when I read that only money seems to make a difference. I work for a living and do not have a disposable income to give to someone just get a medal under my avatar. I think if I donated anything I would expect to have an opinion in the way the whole process of forum building is done, but then we know that won't happen because I am not part of the DH elite, and choose not to do so based on my previous experiences with forum posting...I have to work for a living, and cannot devote any more time than what you see now...but hey, that is fine with me....I do marvel at how much the DH staff post about each others achievements within the constructs of this website.....I have expressed my opinion before Mac Daddy and I think you know damn well what kind of response I got, and I didn't even use profanity, ha ha....

Quite a collection of quotes eh?

For a man who says he has such experiences of life in the war etc it stuns me you think this forum is just here due to me "Putting" it here without any financial costs. This site in total uses over a terrabyte of bandwidth a month. In the year 2003, Advertisements rarely pay for anything. Lets get one thing, very clear right away....... You dont pay to get forum input, noone does, I have people around me in staff positions who havent donated, I have these people around me because, either i feel they are level headed and capable of being fair to the members or are intelligent enough to keep this forum running with good ideas.

If you have been treated unfairly outside the rules by a moderator then you notify a administrator, but as far as im aware you have always gotten fair treatment, so as for those comments, I merely feel that is attention seeking.

As for you saying only money makes a difference, DH isnt about money, DH is about a community, a family. I dont want your money, and DH server will cope just fine without your help in hosting with donations. I have a handful of people who genuinely like the site and forum who donate anyway.

Im closing this thread, I appreciate your input Mac Daddy and the poem you wrote for our birthday, its nice to see people who give to something they love. The more members we have like you, the stronger the forum gets.

Falling Jeff, continue to "gleen" what you can from this forum, perhaps some day you will realise you can make friends here, and have input without offering money. Just think if you had spent the 20 minutes you did in posting this last post, and made a thread in off topic wishing everyone peace and goodwill you would have had a more positive impact on people lives and perhaps even made someone smile.
