"Problem" People.

I just had a skim through the thread about the guy who hit off with a woman not realising she was a transvestite and to be frank, i can imagine how he feels.

When people have problems they turn different ways, some people go to friends or parents, others call organisations like the samaritans for help, or mostly people will turn to the internet for anonymous help.

Back when i had maybe 500/600 posts i posted here about a serious relationship problem i was having, and the anonymous, warm support i got from some of the people here on DH Really helped me since i had somewhere else to turn about my problem.

So i propose that here at DH we have a team of people who PM the starters of threads or simply respond and try to help with the problem.
For instance, if somebody was having a problem i would PM That person and i would say;

"Hello, my name is Tom, i'm 15 and i've been here at DriverHeaven for maybe a year now. If you want to talk about your problem with me it's confidential and i'm always here"

And i know from personal experience that somebody taking the time to do this can make you feel so much better.
The internet is full of people as you all know, and i'm positive that this scheme could save somebody's life.

Does anybody else agree?

you are more than welcome to pm whoever you like mousey, and its a nice gesture. Perhaps if this has been done before we might have a few more members now.

Unfortunately I cannot support this offically as it is really into a different field than the purpose of DH, which is tech support.

We have no one here professionally trained to do this, however as I said, if its something you feel is important and want to do, its your right to use the PM system.
