Site Maintenance Issues and Feedback

Today, we upgraded a lot of the software on DriverHeaven, including vBulletin. While on the whole users won't notice much difference there are quite a few alterations.

If anyone is currently experiencing issues that may be related to the upgrade please post your problems with as much detail as possible here.

Feedback is also welcome.

I like the bookmarks below all threads, too. Easy to Digg stuff / share, etc.

The add ons are really nice, thank you, I really like the fact that people can leave messages in your profile now so that can be a really nice touch complementing rep imo.

I have seen a couple "database error" messages (when trying to edit a post) as well as a "We'll be right back folks message" (when trying to access the forum) within the last half hour or so.

edit: Just saw the following as well (maybe related to the above)...

Thanks Russ, we had a database crash, in order to restore service I turned off the forums giving the "We'll be right back" message and then checked the database.

Seems to be ok now, but I'll be monitoring it.

I thought this might be related to the changes. I get the following error message when trying to answer the poll on the main page of the site :

I got that too Craig, and the System Specs link is missing from under everyone's avatar (CosmosHeaven skin)- hope I'm not repeating the obvious though...

The poll issue is related to vBulletin beefing up security, I'm currently working on fixing that for the poll. Most likely the same thing with the logout link as it's not an original logout link.

Swimtech the System Specs link is present for me logged in and as a guest on all themes. What browser are you using?

I might add to the list that you can't send PM to user just by clicking the send PM link on user profile, the Recipient Username(s) field is empty. Tested on FF3.

And I get this when testing the visitors message feature

On the front page when you click a link to a "Latest Forum Topics" it brings you to that thread's first post, and it used to go to the last post IIRC.

Well, even if it didn't it should.

Thanks for pointing that out IEMC they seem to have changed the code for last post links and I need to update the frontpage code to reflect this change.

I had noticed it, but I've recently switched to using Opera and had mistaken it for an Opera quirk. Will get it updated as soon as I can thanks.

I think that arrow is the equivelant of hitting Enter and if you don't put anything in the text box and just hit it then you (or I) get the forbidden message. If you put something in there and then click, then it searches.
