News posting, have we standards here?

Hello,

I just wanted to make a forum post asking about DriverHeavens policy about linking to blog sites. I notice IRIA writes a blog called "Tech EX" and frequently links to it in his news posts, probably to drive traffic to his writing. I find this wrong for a variety of reasons. (an example would be here http://www.hardwareheaven.com/news/164...ml#post1158833)

a: a blog is hardly a reputable source for news, particularly vista rants which seem to be more lined with passion that anything factual. Negative information on Vista is fine, but I am not so sure personalised rants are really benefical.

b: why not just be honest and originate the material on DriverHeaven rather than link to a little blog site for hits?

Obviously if the upper echelons of staff are aware of this then please feel free to delete this and give me a rollocking, but I find this whole thing just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I wouldnt mind so much if the news was benefical or interesting but its the same old anti MS/Vista nonsense every week.
