Intel Core i7 Skin, Feedback & Suggestions

We're here again, this time Intel and the Core i7.

You know the drill, feedback, comments and suggestions please. The design this time was created by Intel and simply implemented to vB by me.

Thanks

Craig

Well, it's...different?

It must be the least "in your face" theme I have seen so far. For this, I like it.
It looks a lot like CosmosHeaven.

Re: Intel Core i7 Skin, Feedback & Suggestions

very dull. header is bland isn't it ? forum is like cosmos heaven but like a "dead" version.

You can tell intel designed it, they need to stick to processors.

I really like it. It gives the site a clean and cool look.

However, why does it say "dual-core processing" on the right side when the i7 processors are quad-core (8 threads with hyper threading)?

Re: Intel Core i7 Skin, Feedback & Suggestions

Very simple.

is it good? I dont know, I dont think so. the header is a simple gradient fill from one colour to another which I guess would be fine on most sites, but I love DH for the radical designs on the reviews and the massively impressive EA skins we have had. This one seems a bit "ho hum".

Bit corporatey for DH but at least the company make high quality products.

The artwork came from Intel, so I will get it confirmed with them. Heh Thanks

EDIT: Have been in touch, goof on their 3rd party art company's part. Artwork amended. Thanks

I like the contrast level overall very much - which helps colored items to really stand out. Another "mahvelous" looking skin "dahling"!

Unlike swimtech, I don't like the contrast level. I liked the Need for Speed one better, and the Dead Space one even better than the NFS. The Dead Space one was great.

Tiny little Intel Core i7 wording in the top right and..............

A flippin huge flashing attention grabbing advert below it for the AMD PHENOM.

Isn't the current DH competition a chance to win a full AMD system.

The timing is impeccable. +rep to intels marketing team.

I noticed this too on the homepage, Intel Ads left and right, and then a big AMD competition at the bottom, Brilliant!

That said, I like the muted theme, not as much as the Dead Space one, but it's serviceable. Still, I wont be able to afford a Core i7 for a long while yet, so the skin just depresses me

It is nice, but it is a change from the usual 'in your face' themes.

I happen to like the 'in your face' themes.

Well...if the Dead Space theme was DH designed, is there ant reason you couldn't use that color scheme without that ads, and make it a permanent theme. It really has nice contrast, and it was really easy to read.
