DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Hi Everyone!
Hope you all arrived here ok. We've moved servers if you didn't check the site in the last few hours to see us down - Shame on you! In the process I've updated vbulletin etc and made many under the bonnet tweaks. If everyone can scour the site and inform me in this thread of any problems big or small with the site after the move. Anyone having issues logging in or with the skin selector, please first clear your cache and try a second browser. Thank you! When detailing a problem please be as detailed as possible, screenshots are great! Craig |

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
I am the first one?
I use the host file for the new IP and that's why I am already here - my DNS server is still not updated. Looks all fine so far! will be back morrow.. |

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
I was having problems logging in with Chrome, even after clearing the cache, so I had to switch to IE8. It would log me in with chrome, but then return to the "guest" page....... not sure what's going on there, I'll try it again shortly.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
It was the cookies....... cache didn't do it, I had cleared that before posting my earlier post.

yea.. I just wanted to say that the site was pretty slow, loading everything.
Now I'm on it, it is like it used to be.. but if it get's sorted like Z just said, there is nothing to worry about.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Seems to be running faster for me, Z, not seeing any problems now.
@craig, I like the new button for "Go to first new post/ Go to last post"", much easier on the old eyes.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
At last It worked , I will try chrome again after clearing the Cache. I don't like IE
Edit : Chrome worked fine after clearing the cache , the site opens super faster than before. Some skins are missing but I don't care , I use Spore all the time which is thankfully available

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
I noticed some nice improvement that in case of a post that contains large image(s) it expands solely not like the past , the whole page expands horizontally which was very annoying .
![]() However new issue appears for me , the flash add appears over the post ![]() Edit : Another thing in Spore Skin from Legend : Members/Admins/Mods appears should appear in a golden color while they are actually blue.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
I'm getting the flash ad over the photo's too...... It did that earlier in IE8 and the problem corrected itself. Now in Chrome it can't correct the ad placement/pic size......
Edit: IE8 on a different machine didn't fix this so it's doing the same as chrome.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Thanks guys, the ad placement is a coding issue with the DIV that I'm looking into.
@ MIG, that page is only located on the old server, if you're seeing it then for some reason your ISP is directing you to the old server still, this could be a result of routing issues meaning sometimes you're hitting a working updated dns server and other times it's an older one sending you off to the old server. You can manually override it in the hosts file, which is probably your best bet. |

I couldn't log in with minefield, but that's not a surprise. It's just a beta of a coming version of firefox.

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
I saw that downtime, and I felt that DH was significantly faster when I was able to reload it. (And it took me just a little time to realise I needed to clear my cookies to log in.)

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Is this the reason my posts seem to be taking longer then usual? it's taking like 30 seconds for my posts to actual post... everywhere else on the net is fine...

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Hello. I simply cannot get internet explorere working with DriverHeaven!! This new browser is a beauty though so it'll keep me happy for a while!! I'll have to try flushing my dns though as that being the tech talk must be the solution. I wonder how that is done?

Re: DriverHeaven Relocation, Maintenance and Updates
Hi,
This seems to be a problem with the language packs installed in the database, I am taking a look thanks. In the mean time you can select English language from the selector at the base of the forum. Craig |
