Tried to post a reply to a thread, and got an error page (I looked, and the reply did get through). I'm too lazy to snap it and upload it, so here's just the text:

Most likely causes:

IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.

Things you can try:

Ensure that the NTFS permissions for the web.config file are correct and allow access to the Web server's machine account.
Check the event logs to see if any additional information was logged.
Verify the permissions for the DLL.

Anyone experiencing this error, please post the time the error happened and the action you were undertaking: posting a full reply, posting a quick reply, editing your profile etc. If you were replying to a thread and the reply still went through please point me to the reply as well.

I've tweaked the setup and would like to know if this is still occuring.

i got it when posting on story yet another word game, and it so happened, that when i got the error!,, it did a double post for me!

I had 2 occurrences yesterday when posting a message it simply hangs instead of displaying the posted message in the thread. However the message appears once you close FF and reload the thread.

not exactly error 500 but probably related to it

I've been seeing them too, when the post hangs, but they do actually go through but its so annoying.... ARGH!!!
