The Alienware TactX Keyboard

Sorry if I'm in the wrong section, wouldn't find an FAQ one.

So I'm aware that you guys did a review on the Alienware Keyboard/Mouse.

I've gotta admit, the led's on the keyboard are extremely beautiful and sexy.
Can you guys do a review with video on it?
Because I haven't seen ONE video on youtube or any major video uploading websites.

I've always been a fan of Alienware's beautiful lighting but since I'm mainly a desktop gamer I'd really appreciate the keyboard.

Feel free to post any flaws that the keyboard has to stop me from buying it because I haven't seen a single review that shows it's flaws.

Thanks

Re: The Alienware TactX Keyboard

We really don't like video reviews as I still feel you can get more across on a product with a variety of images and detailed wording - I have forgotten how many times I have sat and watched videos on other tech sites and spent 8 minutes listening to someone drone on about something so uninteresting I would have shot myself in the head if I had a gun handy.

"These are the USB ports *points*, as you can see there are 1 *point* 2 *point* 3 *point* 4 *point* 5 *point* of them, and they sit right next to the esata port over *point* here. blah blah blah"

In this case I understand you want to see the lighting in operation and it makes sense. In hindsight this would have been a good addition to this particular review however Dell have since reclaimed the sample so we aren't able to take video of the product now.

Apologies.

Re: The Alienware TactX Keyboard

I think we were the first to get it due to our relationship with Dell. Not sure to be honest, I had expected to see more reviews of it up by now as our review was done quite some time ago.

If you end up buying one, let me know what you think, interested to hear your views. I don't think you would be disappointed, Danny was very impressed.

Re: The Alienware TactX Keyboard

Hey jasontheinsane, yes - I really liked the keyboard. The lighting takes effect immediately upon selecting the scheme from the 2 zones available to color on the keyboard - I tried to give decent samples in the photos for the review.

The AlienFX software is the interface used, which also works with the mouse and other configurable Alienware hardware, so you have one place to personalize each and all Alienware devices - quite handy.

Maybe I can describe what you were looking for in a video of the keyboard if you can be a bit more specific - I'd be happy to help. I used the keyboard daily for about a month before returning it.

Re: The Alienware TactX Keyboard

Alright,
I'm thinking about ordering it right now but I live in Vancouver, BC.
Anyone with them able to ship them here?

And honestly I only need just 3 macro's for a few programs, the lighting is what I'm all for

Thanks
