SUB FORUMS..missing an option

I was wanting to attach a JPG (thumbnail) in a post in one of the ATI DRIVERS sub-forums, and that option was missing. At first I thought that I had either missed a setting somewhere, or that the option was just eliminated.

Then today I saw Z post one in the NEWS forum, and I was "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, how did he do that?" So I clicked on reply, looked, and sure enough, there was the option "Manage attachments".

Now, I'm thinking, "OK, ya old fart, you're getting senile, and just missed it".

SO, off I went to the sub-forum, and nope, that option was missing, I checked almost ALL of the sub-forums, and the same thing applies. In the "Additional Options" section, "manage Attachments" is missing.

Would it be possible for someone to address this issue?

Its not possible to add attachments via the post quick reply.. Have you tried "Go Advanced" options.. At the top in the options you should see a little paperclip..

Exact same thread... Then it may depend on what theme is being used..For me its there..

EDIT: It's there on every dh theme... It could be a browser problem.

I do it always via Manage attachment button at the bottom of advanced reply

This is the first time I know about the Paper clip

I also noticed that you can't change the theme when you are in a sub forum:

I use Chrome...

Edit:

I tested with IE8 and it has the same 'problem'. So probaly it doesn't depends on the browser...

Thats odd... its one for admin to look into thats for sure...

BTW.. I just tried Chrome and the paperclip is also there..

I have no paperclip and further below "manage attachments" is missing.

Same thread, running chrome.

You should know about the mods options richy they don't show up in that section..

maybe its not an option for the rest of us in some forums, to keep them clutter free or whatever.

I know... Thats why i said earlier,This is one for craig to take a look at..

Surely this is a database issue that has been overlooked on the server tranfer DH went through last week.

You should know about the mods options richy they don't show up in that section..

On vbulletin you can set permissions for the attachments by forum, it might indeed be a permissions error

Hey guys, I've actually been moving into my new place not drinking Richy

I will sort out the permissions and check where they're being inherited from, a lot of the forums have old custom permissions per usergroup, which means they don't inherit the parent forum settings, this is likely the cause.

Looks good. I just edited a post in the ATI Vista/Win 7 drivers subforum and it went just like it used to
