Wow, that's prominent, like BAM!

I kinda like it, just wish it were like 1 font size smaller, or maybe if we could move the "latest forums" up?

I love the new news don't get me wrong that's looking epic, but it seems like it minimized the forums at the bottom of the page, but that's a nice layout, sort of reminds me of the inquirer! (Only less cheeky

)

That's what I was commenting on Allan, but could we find a better place for the latest forum topics? Or maybe someway (I am not a web coder so no idea if it can be done) to see them if I scroll over "Forums" I like to keep active with the latest forum topics, especially if someone needs advice etc.

Also as a side note, could we get a "quicky reply" or quick comment ability to post easy news comments, instead of having to click to comment?

I like the concept of the new look front page but I think the news consumes a tad too much real estate on the home page

Thats intentional, you will get used to it, its a huge focus for us now as we are paying people for it !

Its not something we every really spent time on, and it has changed. all it has done is pushed down content further down the page. nothing is missing.

Give it time, then if you all still hate it, keep bitching

The front page sure is a different style... I think it looks just a little overcrowded..Mind you it is new so it may just need a little time to get used to..

I love it guys. the front page never told me anything I needed to know. I read the site daily so most of the real estate was on old reviews and stuff I didn't need to read. the fact its 'longer' now and has up to the minute news I WANT is awesome.

There has been some great news here recently I think a lot of people missed it in the ordinary news forum, I love this idea.

Top marks guys.

Yeah I never looked at the front page either cause there was only ever a new review on it the odd time.

I have bookmarked it now though as I like news, if I can get that here as well, like we have been in the forums last few weeks, im all for it.

I love the new news, don't get me wrong, Ah well, I just was hoping for more visible Latest forum I noticed it got pushed down, it was just my little way of seeing the latest topics (READ: LAZY)

Can you make the comments font in spore skin a little whiter , it is almost visible.
Although why doesn't the news appear in the forum and I have to click another link to view it.

Craig is aware of sporeskin issue.

This new system is only for our own written news - we are trying to centralise everything into one place, both from front page and news forum- this is the only way to genuinely monitor stats and to see if we need to pay more people for news, or less.....

I recommend to people who are even used to just sitting on the forum 100% to use our front page for our own news, if you can all bear with me on this, we are analysing stats to the news - and while I know a lot of you are stuck in your own way of just sitting in the news forum, we are doing this one differently. I think you would find the news layout for this structure much easier to use than just seeing simple one line headliners in the forum anyway.

Its also worth pointing out that GUESTS can now comment on our news in this specific forum, so people don't need to logged in if they are in internet cafe's etc.

I like it. I don't visit the site outside the forum, but the changes are for the best. The previous layout felt too...busy. This is more like "you want the news HERE!".
I also like how guests can now post in the news section. In other sites (not just tech related) I have found myself wanting to post something, but always feel like I can't be asked to go through signing up just to post one message. Very smart move IMO.
