Building a topic

Hi there,

So I want to make a big topic about the HD5xxx serie. How can I do this the best? Is there a subforum where I can place the (unfinished) topic in without the other members can see it ?

Since I want to make some charts but you need to save the topic for that... :o

Re: Building a topic

if it's that big you could just start a topic, make several posts right after it so you have saved space (as you can edit those double posts to contain info)..

otherwise I wouldn't know.. Perhaps Z or Craig might have more to say

Re: Building a topic

You can always type your partial topic in the advanced field, then click on preview, then copy and paste the data from the input box to another program to save the (text?). When you are ready to complete it, just first copy and paste the old data into the box, and complete the post.

First of all, good luck, I hope you are able to make an epic topic :-)

Anyway, you can either use the preview post button on this very forum and create the topic on here, or (The better way in my view) open up Word/similar and create the topic there then paste it into here when you're done.

That way you'll have far more control over stuff like graphs etc in regards to placing, sizing etc and you'll be able to work at your own pace with the ability to save your progress with a single click.

Yeah, I know and I did that, but It would have been easier if there was a subforum where you can just post it :P

I'll start right now

Re: Building a topic

Still waiting for your epic topic

The demand for a staging area is so low that it's not really required I don't think. As has been said here, either write the post up in word, or reserve the first few posts by replying and then editing later.

Thanks

Craig

Re: Building a topic

I'm busy with it :P (in Word)

I've already made some nice links in PS.

Topic will be inbound this week :o

I don't know if it's epic, but I haven't seen a topic like it here on DH.
