Leaving Heaven Media onto pastures new!

Hi Forumgoers (guys and gals)!,

I just wanted to let you all know that in 2010 I am stepping aside from my position within Heaven Media - I have decided to move onto pastures new. Nothing much should change here, there is a massively talented team behind the scenes and Craig and Stuart will still be productive and active with all the great reviews and articles produced. I am quite sure new people will join the team in the near future.

This has honestly been one of the best experiences of my life and I am so proud of everything achieved here, I put my heart and soul into this website (and sometimes didn't sleep for days on end!) and I hope in some way it still shows.

It has been a very enjoyable experience and I am glad I can call so many of you my friends because this is without a doubt one of the best forums on the internet. To think I created it from the start in my bedroom as a hobby and to look at it now never fails to amaze me -- how far it has come!

I sincerely wish all you guys the best, I will be around the forums until the end of the year posting news and helping with some content. I didn't want to just vanish in 2010 without saying goodbye, so here it is, short and sweet ... just like me.

WTF! This is a total shocker to me. As one of the first 10 members of DH I am not sure that DH will ever be the same. I hope you have something new and exciting to move onto Allan because you started a great community here. I know we have had our disagreements over the years but i have always respected your opinion since day 1.

Well, I for one wont be saying goodbye, because I have a feeling this is all part of something bigger going on.

Correct me if I'm wrong here Allan but this is your baby, you ARE Heaven Media, so something strange is going on (especially with that other thread going on).

Anyway, I could be wrong here (If so, good luck in whatever you do in future Allan!) but I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of you just yet :-)

Well thank you Allen for having such a passion to create such a beast, and see it through. Like Stop It, I too would like to believe that we won't be seeing the last of your ventures.

Can you tell us what your future plans are? Though whatever it is, good luck with it, and hopefully you'll do as much good as you did here. Just let us know so we can follow you.

One of my guesses on the 2010 thread was that you're going to leave (and be replaced by Bill Gates), but since you're announcing this early, I guess that's not the big thing. Right?

And you will continue to visit DH, hopefully.

I hope you aren't moving into a mud hut with no wifi so that we won't see you around at all next year. We may call upon you from time to time...! It's clear that you worked hard to keep a high precense on the site over the last half a year or so, and I know a lot of people here have liked that. I completely understand the need to move on, perhaps to something very different too. More art in your daily life perhaps? Be well.

One of the reasons I stayed here was because Zardon took the time to answer a question I had elaborately when I was total newbie to this site. Not something you often see admins of other big communities do. This community is so welcoming.

It's sad. But good luck with whatever you will do.

check the title.. I would certainly want to believe, as do many regulars I'm sure, that this is all a big joke or the warming up for the big thing happening in 15 days. But the feeling this is indeed real is quite present, however sad it may be..

I'm sure whatever you are planning next it'll be a massive success.

Driverheaven is more than just a pc website and forum, without going into detail Allan and all the other members can make a difference to peoples lives and it often goes without praise. Logging on here and chuckling at a some of the posts have lifted me from some dark places.

Thanks for bringing a community of strangers together.
