Just wondered if it was possible to delete an account within the many menus. If not who should I fire a pm at?

Im afraid I am my friend. I was hoping to make a stealthy exit but couldn't find the door.

Fear not it isn't to join another site I'm just going through something of an early mid-life crisis and i've come to the conclusion that i'm going back to basics and turning my back on technology as far as is possible in this crazy world we live in. I've deleted all my messenger contacts, have left any form of social networking sites and have even gone as far as deleting my email address. It's also something of an experiment, i've managed a month so far and a tech free life is both less stressful and less expensive.

Next stop for me, rubbing sticks together and re-discovering fire.

I think it's called being "off-grid". I went to a remote mountain once where there wasn't even a phone signal. Was there for a couple of days and I enjoyed it. I've also withdrawn substantially from being active at Facebook and starting to reduce my visits and posts in some PC forum.

(I don't know why, but I keep going back regularly here at DH, though.)

@Lel -- I wish there was a "deactivate" option here at DH like in Facebook, wherein later on if you do decide to come back, you still retain all your information.

leaving the matrix? you could just choose not to login and or touch anything electronic for the duration of your sabbatical, that way when you are ready to go back or want to go back you could just re login and connect to old friends easily
