Imageshack Thumbnail Links Don't Show Up
I have been able to get them to work on other forums, so, I'm not sure just what is going on. But, if I try either of the two Thumbnail links from Imageshack, not only does the thumbnail not show up, but only one even shows the link...and no thumbnail. FTR, I'm trying to post some Eyefinity screenshots in the gaming discussion forum.

Something has changed recently. I do know Imageshack has changed some things. Not sure about on this end re: Imageshack.

The first code is the one marked Forum thumnail on Imageshack, and seems to work fine, the second one marked Alt Forum Thumbnail doesn't work, and I can see that it's because the [IMG] tag has [IMG=http instead of simply wrapping the image url with [IMG] [/IMG] tags

I'm not seeing the option to Embed Thumbnails. Could this be due to the size of the images? Eyefinity 5760×1080 pixels?

What I've been trying is the Thumbnail links ... not the Embed Thumbnails which doesn't show up for me.

Testing.... [Yep, it has to have something to do with the image sizes.]

Is that after you added the brackets?

It seems if I put the brackets at the front and end of the link the whole shebang disappears for me.

At any rate, I think it's a matter of Imageshack saying, "How do you figure a 5260x1080 image to be a THUMBNAIL?"

Yea, it seems on an image that size, they don't give you thumbnail options just direct links


Your only option would be to make your own thumb, and then swap out the url= with the fullsized link, but leave the [img] url as the smaller thumb.

Just ran into this problem again trying to post some thumbnails of Mafia II using Eyefinity.

Craig, why can't you implement the auto-resize option that many other forums use so I can just use the Direct Link option and let the image resize to fit the browser window? If anyone wants to then see the full size, they can click the option just like they would with the thumbnail?

I've got some really HUGE images over in the Mafia II thread I've started for the demo.

I had this active today, but I've had to disable it as it's interferring with the image script on the hardware reviews, will have to take another look at it.
