Mobile site ever?

I know it's a lot of work, do you guys think you will launch a mobile site?

We've looked at a few options in the past, but with smartphone browsers coming so far the desire sort of tailed off. There's all sorts of plans tho, sometimes they come to fruition sometimes we put them on hold. But if we do something I'll make sure it's done properly.

on an iphone its still so smat... i know engadget focuses on a more laptops and mobile devices but their mobile site isn't bad. or there's a bunch.

Any word on this? I know it's been brought up several times and I'm reviving this thread to bring it up again.

I know I would check this site out much more frequently if there was a mobile version of it available.

Meh, in a year or two, the mobile phones will likely grow to 15+ inches, so why bother?

I know this may sound weird, but one of the things that I really like about my phone is that it isn't really viable for web-browsing. When I'm away from my computer, I want to be away from my computer.

In all honesty, if you feel you have to be able to access when you're out and only have your phone to do it with I'd say you're suffering from technological stress. This need to always be connected and always being in touch with everyone and everything is gonna cause a lot of problems for people in the near future, that's what I believe.

I don't see the need for something like this. The forum isn't going anywhere while you're out.

It's not that. If it is, then it's subconscious and I'm not aware of it.

Those of us who are interested in a mobile site want to be able to easily access DH and gave the performance be optimal for mobile usage.

Or if a mobile website can't be done then perhaps integrating a 3rd party app such as tapatalk. Another forum I visit uses this app quite well with VB. why can't DH?

Liquorice has a good point, though it varies with circumstance. If you're left bored for long periods while you're out (perhaps long train journeys or the like), why not browse the internet, and if you're browsing the internet, why not HH to pass some time?

Not trying to be offensive in any way but perhaps I'm a wee bit provocative. I would go nuts myself to try and use my phone for such things, if I go for longer trips I take my laptop with me. When I'm out for the day I just leave things, nothing is that important in my view. We did manage before internet, before mobile phones, even before TV, radio and landline phones. I firmly believe that technological stress is the next big epidemy, if it's not already the cause of many heart and other stress-related diseases..

Modern society is much different than what it was even 10 years ago. People are connected to the internet in some fashion one way or another. Because of this, we feel that we need some sort of device to keep us connected. We're always connected in one way or another.

Our cell phones and our cars (especially those built within the last 5 years) are two excellent examples of how we are all connected together in one way or another. It's technology. It's how we live our lives now. The only way to renounce this way of living is to live in a 3rd world country where cell phones are few and far between and a newer car is one from the early 90s.

I don't agree. You don't have to embrace all tech that comes out, it doesn't mean you have to renounce it all. You can live a perfectly normal life without all this tech, it's a matter of choise and nothing else. If you feel that you must keep up with it then, in my opinion, you're in a dangerous position. Just because your car has a built-in phone, GPS and DVD player it doesn't mean you have to use them.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that stress related diseases will increase enormously when the first 24 hour connected generation hit their middle ages.
