Driverheaven a tad...slow

Is it just me or is driverheaven loading up a bit slow nowadays?

I'm running 1.5mbps DSL and it still loads slower than when I was on dial up...

Server load is fine. It's probably either a routing issue or the ads.

DH is fine for me even w/ Opera. The ad server was a bit slow a week or so ago and Opera would have a cow about it. However, last night I noticed a bandwidth limit in my area. Weird...

I have DH as my homepage, and it loads slower than most sites lately it is a little worse. On status bar- "waiting for reply" takes a few seconds. It's not too bad, but seems to be getting slightly worse. I blamed it on the ads too- those things make any site load slower for some reason. IE6 sp1

As Judas Stated, the whole interenet is a little slow. From what I am reading, part of this is due to that new exploit found in windows with port 445 and 135. I have been watching my Firewall logs closely and notice 200 - 300 hits a day on those ports. All of my friends are noticing the same thing too. Eh who knows..... not everything in life can be "instant on".....heheheheh

Yeah I think the whole internet is a bit off today. I can't say that DH is super slow, maybe just a tick.

well you have to understand that the ads can sometimes slow the site down, as the ads are not loaded from any of our servers, they go to our ad companies servers and load from there, so if they are under pressure it can stall a page loading. Its a catch 22 situation guys, I mean this site costs alot to maintain and I would love to just kill ads permanently but I really cant afford to do that, I also dont get donations on a regular basis so everything would be coming directly from my pocket.

The site recently has been flying for me, so it could be a few things. The ads that are loading specific to your area are slow. its a routing problem to your area. The server loads are low right now, so I know its nothing to do with our server .

Try blocking the ads if you need to to see if it loads slower or try one of the many free public proxy servers on the net to change the route you access the site.

That happens if a moderator moves a thread that was incorrectly posted in the wrong forum to another with redirect to the correct forum. the script on the front page, reads both threads as active.

I would clear all your temp internet files and your cookies, and relog in, probably a glitch.

That could also happen if you try and post in a closed thread
