Quick question about Avatars.
Ok,

I'm trying to look for an avatar, and none are listed. What seems to be the problem here? Can anyone help? I'd like to put my fiancee's pic as my avatar.

I believe the current requirement for being able to include an avatar is 500 posts....OR you can join the Folding group.

ok... i'll bite, what's the "Folding group"? Yeah I was pretty bummed when i discovered that 100 posts only allows you to change what's written under your name...

Sorry,

I got my DH and R3D avatar requirements crossed.

It's the Rage3D site that allows you to join their "Folding @ Home" venture in order to get an avatar sooner.

DH requires 500 minimum posts to do so....OR you can Donate, I believe.

you only get a folding avatar at Rage3d, you dont have a choice of your own av until you reach 1000 posts, and incidentally if you join the DH clan, or win a competition, become a gold member or get 500 posts you get an avatar here.

Hmmm..see, this next question is irrelevant. But I'm also having Avatar problems on another site. Like, you know where it shows the circle for "delete my current avatar"? It keeps that shadded and I can't select anything. Is this because a windows problem? I'm running on XP pro.

There's the answer about the avatars.


For the signature, you need to host the sig image on your own WEB space and link to it using the VB code for image.

I DO believe you can do that, can't you Z?

thats very vague..... depends on what forum software they are using and the permissions they have set. Do you not think its best asking the admins on that particular forum

In all honesty, I submit the question to ADMIN, but I'm not sure when he'll answer which is why I asked you since we're on the topic. Because I get the same picture here..like a checked sign in the "do not use forum pic" as in the other site. I never had this problem..and I can't uncheck it.
