arrow Front Page Not Updating

I believe this is the only WEB site I'm having this problem with. Specifically, after visiting the Forums and leaving the site, when I come back....to the Front Page....it isn't updated to show the latest posts in the left column. I have to do a Refresh to get it to update.

I'm using IE 6 with the latest patches and have my Settings to Automatically update the pages. This seems to be the only one that doesn't.

I've noticed this too, but if I hit refresh, it does update. Now here's what's wierd. I'm browsing the forum, I go back to the main page and hit refresh to update it, OK, fine. I go looking around at some of the new posts, back-button back to the main page and it's back to the old data that I refreshed from, again requiring me to hit refresh.

I believe it to be some kind of browser cache issue.

Edit: I set the browser (IE6) to update a page EVERYTIME I visit it, but the issue still exists. Hmm....

lol I was waiting on dyres weekly problem

anyway, guys this is more than likely an ISP caching issue and happens occassionally with almost everyone, saying its just this site I dont think could be possibly accurate. its happened to me on many a site.

For the purposes of an experiment try the site with mozilla.

Don't ever want to disappoint you, Z.

That it could be an ISP Caching problem is very valid. With Cable Connection and a Cached ISP Server, that can happen. But, I don't notice on the other sites. I'll be more alert.

.... an HTML chat site of some sorts could tell you if there is a caching problem with your ISP... at one time... my old dail-up isp had a serious problem and places like that would display the same things over and over again even when hitting refresh... it was odd...luckly.. that only was like that for 8 hours or so...

since I moved ISP I dont get it very often, but I used to, once a month find alot of the sites I visited I would get pages totally out of date and EVEN hitting control refresh wouldnt work on occassion.

It happens normally for short periods of time, and im sure if you travel more sites when you see this happening here you will notice it on some servers within the same IP/location range.
