Noob question, how do i put an avatar under my nick?

Sorry if i posted in the wrong place!!!

Some help would be nice!

You have to have a minimal of 500 posts before you can have an avatar.

you need to add a little bit of code to get an image to work...

["IMG]http://www.yourebspace.com/yourimage.jpg[/IMG"]

Now the link between both IMG's is the location of your signature image....
The IMG is the code...although, you would not put the (") in there... the reason they are there is so that the code isn't activeated and showing no code at all...

It's rather simple....if you want to make an image...that you can click on to go to a page...you can do that as well... but it needs a little bit more code

["URL=http://www.yourwebsite.com/]["IMG]http://www.yourwebspace.com/yourimage.jpg[/IMG"[/URL"]

Same thing as above.... remove the (")s and the code will work.....

For example.... my signature.. thing is, i have 2 seperate images/links... so basically i doubled what you see right above....

Also, signatures shall be no larger than 100 pixels deep and 400 pixels wide with a MAXIMUM file size of 35k (20k should be enough - a little courtesy should be shown to those members still on dial up). If you have combinations of images and text, its 100 pixels for the image and 5 lines of text. This is to ensure forum reading is not hindered.

Well it´s trouble at least for me (NOOB)!!

I was a "fan" of this site for quite a while now, and i must say you guys are the BEST!!!!!!

guys please be aware that you cannot run your signature images from DH.

Dont understand what I mean? let me explain. Wildchild and Judas both have space on the driverheaven server to help create signature images for our users, but this space is not to be used to hardlink to meaning you cant put img tags in your sig to point to the Driverheaven server. You need to get some hosting for that yourself. The DH server does host the avatars when they become available in user accounts but we cannot possibly host a theoretical 40,000+ signatures as well as running the sites.

Please make sure you find your own host.

haha thanks man i got the part that i needed to host a pic but the main problem was that in the site i was uploading to the img name had a ! and it couldent detect it !!
