Very Slow again-Sunday-11:45 a.m.

Things aren't as bad as they were Wednesday, but still very slow to get the front page and move around.

I'm getting around on DH but very slowly.

The cache was nearly empty.

Other WEBsites are nice and zippy....just this one is real sluggish.

OK...things seem to be back to normal now. Appeared to clear up right after the last post.

I posted the correction too soon. It's like a roller coaster for me today. It'll work great one minute and then be horribly slow the next. Very unusual. If I leave DH and then come back, the front page takes close to 30 seconds or longer to load.

Posting is about the same. One post will go through quickly, the next one might take some time.

Eh no Misery here..... like I said.. I am sitting here at work board off my butt.... a site could take 20 min to load and I would not care.....

Only 2 1/2 hrs to go and I can go home and relax....heheh... but in truth it takes 1-2 min for the main page of this site to load for me. I have talked to the techs that run our proxy and from what they can see it isn't the proxy that is holding it up.... may be a bad router somewhere on the internet today and is only effecting some people..... ahh yes... Technology... gotta love it...

It took 90 seconds to open DH a few minutes ago- It just took anout 40 seconds to get to this reply screen to type this.. I was going to go to the feedback to report the slowdown to see if there was another attack on DH or something.

It's acting exactly the same as it was with the attacks going on.

I checked that internet weather thing, and I'm fine, all other sites laoding right up.. Hopefully DH isn't under another attack of some sort.

ive rebooted the server/mysql and apache, but bear in mind guys omega has just released a new set, and this server ALSO hosts Omegacorner........... im not getting it any slower than usual, server loads are fine so I cant comment on seeing any problems myself but im sure andrew will look when he gets online.

Its been a bit hit and miss for me also today! Around 6-10 pm I couldn't access the site at all for about 10 minutes but its back to normal now!

I think that reboot helped.... site has been much faster for me every since.....

the server is in texas btw just for those who didnt know that. it could have been a routing problem from texas to parts of the states, then again it could have been another "unknown", anyway if it reappears let us know. seems ok atm certainly snappier even for me in ireland.

The path to the server is completely different than it was a few days ago- My ISP has been iffy the last few days, and after looking at that internet weather report for a while, you could see that something got screwed up bad on the east coast for a while.

Whoever has Adelphia as their ISP they are migrating their lines, so people are experiencing disconnections and slow speed.

I do- And I hate them- I've had them for 3 years. It's fast when it works, but that seems to be less and less often.

I went from <uncapped down/ 133 up> to <2000down/256 up>, then to <2000 down/133> up all in one week. Now I'm capped hard on both up and down w/ no alternative. I got an email from them last week saying how my speeds were going up both upload and download, and how prices aren't going up.

My speed got capped hard, and my bill went up 6dollars a month. (on the cable TV side) now it's around $107/month for my cable and internet. Grrrrrr.

Hopefully it will get straightened out and the speed will go back up.

What kinda speed are you getting?

I have Comcast Cable Internet only -- not cable TV. We now have 3000 down/256 up. I have to admit, I've been pretty happy with the service for almost a year now. Downloading from driverheaven's servers at nearly 6mb/s...... (multiple connections)........ it wasn't zippy the other day....most likely due to me going back down to 14.4kb modem... (hehe.. thanks giving back home)

if you aredownloading from the driver server to test its NOT the same server as the main site which hosts this site and omegacorner (and I doubt you could get anything to download from this server which hosts the forum to test 6mb/s). We have three servers. Main server / Driver download server and the game clan server.
