Private Message Notice Not Updating

I've noticed this for awhile, but haven't mentioned it.

The Private Message notice at the bottom of the Forum isn't updating after I've read my messages. Even after I leave DH and come back later, it still shows new private messages and a number, even though the Messages link at the top of the page isn't yellow.....to show New Message.

vB continues to show that you have new messages even after you've read them, until you leave the site for 15 minutes.
