new news posters read previous posts?

There seem to be a string of double posted information by different news people. There has been a surge in new posters, and thats great. I think they should know whats already on first though so that they can lower the copies

My normal procedure is this:

1. Notice a recently posted news article on another site;

2. Open DH's News Archive to see what's been posted that day;

3. If nothing is related to that same news item, I post it in the News for the Front Page.

Even at that, I've missed a few, but not many.

Thank you. And yes, I've done the search on news archive. I searched for the key words and found nothing. Yet I have one dupe that i know of so far.

Whats really difficult is I usually catch all of the articles from lesser known sites, but now with these new people I'm almost never catching it first.

Im just glad to have news posters, way more efficient for me to view that. Thanks for great work guys.

The occasional duplicate news item is inevitable given the size of the news team. The best thing to do would be to hit the 'report this post' button and a moderator will remove it.

..sometimes repeats isn't a bad thing....as the news flies by very quickly..
