AD Problems!!!
Something is really messing up....

Check the newly posted ADs.....I'm getting a Port Scan attack when I log on to DH right now.

Activity is that things keep loading over and over and over.......

I've been having problems with some of the ads, too.. but not exactly the same thing (though I don't have firewall logs to look at). I've just noticed that certain ads (specifically the gamer.tv ads) just slow down my browser considerably. Scrolling through the pages is very jerky, and when going from window to window, it takes the page several seconds to re-render itself. It's hard to describe. It's just a minor inconvenience, though, so I never said anything before.

At the moment, things seem back to normal.

I was trying to reply to a poster in the Radeon Drivers forum and the Status bar at the bottom of IE browser just kept reloading stuff. I got 2 warnings from the Firewall that it had intercepted a Port Scan.

It was hard to keep writing in that post with all of this going on.

But, as I just said, it seems to be back to normal for the moment.

he is using an ad blocker and while being totally his own choice....... is not helping this site stay alive. DH needs the ad hits to cover hosting and masses of bandwidth, so I hope the rest of you dont go down that road, otherwise in a few months time there will be NO dh.

I didn;t see this post until now, But I remember this sight going insane at just about the time you posted this-- It kept reloading, like 5 times a second- the status bar was going nuts----

the ad company probably had in rogue code or a bad advertisement and caught it out. happens sometimes with these rotating scripts.
