I agree! And I wouldn't block the ADs if they would load as fast as the DH forums.

I just read this thread and it amazes me how much of an impatient world we have grown to be (me included). Remember when all we had was 56k? How Broadband has made us want everything "NOW" ..hehehehe oh well.. guess that is the way it goes..... but I will also admit the site is nice an snappy now...

Of any place I visit, it's worth it to wait to get here (Lan at work - no sweat. Dialup at home 21600 bps on a GOOD day over bad lines and all - main page can take a minute to come in - not counting the loading of ads afterwards). I don't mind waiting...

Uberlord added an accelerator today to Driverheaven, so lets see how that goes. report your findings.

The DriverHeaven front page has always been the slowest to load, but today it's a lot quicker. The rest of the forum pages fly now.

Me too, this whole website is FLYING for me now- much faster than ever before. Usually when I used to click on a link in my e-mail from the e-mail notification, I would close out of the email message and wait a few seconds more for the forum page to load up- now it's almost instant, if it does take any more time, it's usually only one second or so.

Seems i spoke too soon

Getting very difficult to load the front page now. Sometimes the pages just sort of get halfway and hang. If i click on profile i can get to the forums that way, but these last 12 hours have been difficult

that is what i am getting on occasion and posting on forums are a little longer,but it could just be the time of surfing here,high net traffic at this time.

but not too slow so im not complaining about it.just slower than this morning.

its not just here as im on 512k bb service and downloading a 9.45mb file from microsoft site and is running at 1.36kb per secong time of 2hr 37m

now thats a slow server at this time.

[edit] found same file from another server and now downloading just under my usual 56k per second rate.

I also found the same thing! Since MS downloads usually work at around 100KB/s for me. But today it was 10KB at max.
