IIS 404 error

About half of my page loads as of the past 5 minutes or so have contained this error:

Code:
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

    * Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
    * If you reached this page by clicking a link, contact the Web site administrator to alert them that the link is incorrectly formatted.
    * Click the Back button to try another link.

HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Technical Information (for support personnel)

    * Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 404.
    * Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Web Site Setup, Common Administrative Tasks, and About Custom Error Messages.
This includes showthread.php, newreply.php, and forum.php. I'm using Netscape 7.1, but I believe it's a server-based issue. The errors sometimes happen consecutively, and repeated refreshing does not make it work - it seems to be that the pages don't work for a certain length of time and just return a 404, then come back and work fine.

Is this only me?

This is now happening to some of the image files in the forum software. Maybe someone's backing up stuff right now, and it's temporarily making the files unavailable?

I started getting these on some other sites, and then they just all stopped. Maybe it's something on my end, but the computer I'm on doesn't have IIS, and the other 404s I got were different (different server, and the file was named in some of them). Happened with zeropaid.com forums (following link to them) and ietf.org rfc files.

We don't run IIS, so I have no idea why you'd see that. Must be something on your end.

Thats why I was so confused - DH is on apache. Maybe the ISP of the connection I was on has a proxy somewhere messing with everything? This is wierd.
