"Tricks" to speed up site?

Whatever they did at Guru3d REALLY sped up their website. They said they did some "caching tricks". Just wondering if something like that would work for DH?

It used to be pretty slow for me there, now it's always very very fast.

I don't read Guru3D - but I did install a PHP Cache today.

well there is a few compamnies that wil cache you all over the world for just a standard fee...

HTTP specification has extensive caching methods for speeding up page reloads, it is just matter of taking advantage of them (not all are in use by default!).

Following has summary of most of the methods:

Interesting.

I'll read up on that during the week and think about changing the HTML headers. However, thats client side caching and not server side. The new PHP cache is server side.

I don't either very much any more- I don't blame you. But I'm glad I stumbled on that thread, if it happens to help DH out at all.

Co-incidence mainly - I've been playing around with that cache for a few weeks now.
Your comment just prompted me to install it on DH

Hey it works for me! The site is much much faster for me, especially the mian page. I have it as my homepage, so I noticed it instantly. Great work!
