Can;t get to the main page right now

I just get a big white box where the top ad goes, and it says "done" in the status bar.

Only way to get on DH is to use a link from My Email notification to ge into forums.\

IE6 WinXP

Top ad works on forum pages though-

I just checked and it's still doing it. I don't have another browser installed, and I gotta leave soon. So I won't be able to experiment any more. I'm pretty sure it's just the ads like before.

actually the ads are fine right now, ive tested them in all browsers, I normally see any problems myself at home. so this time I think its routing, or something else in between DH and your line. try purging all your temp files and flushing DNS via CMD.

It looks like this, then loads after about 2 minutes or so, I did just clean everything out earlier today. Well, I just tested it again and it loaded right up- So it was only like that for a little while. I guess it could have been anything. It did look the same as when the ads were messed up- but who knows. Maybe just a hick-up.

All I can say, is this time its not a problem with the ads or DH.

I suggest you try Mozilla Firebird, not only that it will probably solve the problem, but it's also definitly a better browser.

Yeah, I've been thinking about it for a long time. I even downloaded it- just never installed it..... I'm just so used to IE6- I think I'd be lost. Does the google toolbar work with Mozilla? What about cookie management, plugins, windows/ outlook express integration, and all that stuff? It just seems like a huge hassle- There must be some downside, or some compatibility issues. I thought I heard it was slower than IE too- I guess I 'll have to do a little research and find out some more about it.

The nice thing is you DON'T install it... just put the files in a folder on one of your drives and link to the .exe...... that is it no install. I just started to use it 3 days ago. Pretty nice... I still can't let go of MyIE2 but Mozilla is a nice change...

I'm often worried by programs that don't install. Does it change registry settings? or have an .ini file or something to remember the settings you choose? I already have the .exe file- I just never clicked on it- that's funny, because I thought it would install Mozilla. I'll have to go see if a more recent build is out and go download it- I guess it can't hurt anything.

Hey wait a second- the folder I just looked in had this file in it-

mozilla-win32-installer-sea.exe

then a file called winboost.exe

I think the first one is an installer- or does that just spit out the .exe file needed to launch Mozilla?

PangingJr is just really nicePangingJr is just really nicePangingJr is just really nicePangingJr is just really nice

i always use mozilla for browsing the internet... IE for doing MS things.

mozilla comes with several builds/packages for Win32....full installer, net installer and zipfile) so you would d/l ones from the link that said "Full Installer" (or its the one if you click download from their front page)

the Full Installer is the d/l and install leter versions, you can select custom install .. so you dont have to install many of its programs if you dont want to... uncheck all of it.. will be just the Navigator (browser stand alone). the un-installer programs is quite good ..only left behind somes/fews registries and 2-3 folders in explorer.. no harm to windows.

go to mozilla.org or use this link http://www.mozilla.org/releases/#1.5 for an up to dated releases. check it out.
