Please remove the Avenue A, Inc Spyware on your website otherwise i can not view the news and i don't wany a good site like this putting spyware on my computer...... thankyou

there is no spyware on DH, the popunder which was causing issues is gone since yesterday - and we only use normal ADS, check you didnt get it from another site.

after running adaware to clean my system and then opening DH and running adaware again, I got one new instance but this was simply a tracking cookie. I would imagine the one that keeps me logged into DH and keeps my poll results (correct me if I'm wrong).

Absolutley nothing else whatsoever!

What im about to say is for this thread and the other threads on pop ups etc...

quiet frankly im getting sick of reading about people whinging about pop ups/pop unders, adds,spy ware & anything else...

Zardon, you do what you have to do to to keep DH up and running...

no the ads arent gone, if they were gone so would DH be, the popunder which was causing the problems is gone.

If I use a popup killer and then visit DH - killing the popup in the process, does that mean DH doesn't get paid for my visit?

If thats the case, I'm happy to see DH with popups, popunders, pop acrosses and popouts and anything else that will bring in revenue. I'll add DH to my white list so that I get those ads when visiting. I have never ever had a problem with DH before I started using the killer so I don't mind having them.

I use the killer mainly for other, less scrupulous websites I visit.

I have never understood why people feel compelled to repeatedly tell the admin team that they are having problems. It only takes one mention of it from one or more members for Zardon to act - and he has always sorted it out - its never been his fault but that of the ad company.

Thanks logla, appreciate the kind words. The situation is this - Driverheaven right now, has no popups, no popunders or anything which will pop anywhere. so everyone can rest assured on that front. Once I had several reports of problems with the single popunder we had, I informed the ad company and got it removed from the front page. It was only EVER on the front page, not the main forum.

All driverheaven has is the ad banners and front page intellitxt. which wont reroute your browser or cause any issues which the rogue popunder was causing recently. I didnt know it was doing that because I wasnt getting it happening to me. Thank you for those people who reported it, all the information has been forwarded to the ad company who ill be honest, right now im not particularly happy with. I informed them months ago, to have simple non malignant pop unders with tech related information, nothing which would track, reroute, or cause issues for anyone. Until last week this was the case, so they have either keyed in something wrong on their end which was making our script attach to someone elses popunder campaign. Let me reiterate, this is NOT on DH anymore. its wiped totally. Until the ad company fix this and assure me it wont happen again and I feel confident, the popunder wont be returning. I do take security and privacy seriously.

For those of you who cant afford to donate and want to help the site continue, please remove ad blockers, your visits even on viewing a page, never mind clicking with an ad present is logged which all mounts up to the end of the month ad monies. This is your own choice, if you dont want to remove your ad blocker for this site thats fine, but you wont be giving back a single cent to the upkeep of this site, if all the members do it, then in time Driverheaven will be no more. This site costs considerable money to maintain.

For those of you who have donated via Paypal and email me saying they have allowed Driverheaven past their ad blocker and are even clicking the ads or intellitxt links front page, I thank you. I really do.

Hope you all had a great christmas and are looking forward to 2004
