Strange problem with DH web site!

Hi,

I've got a strange problem with DH web site. Whenever I try to browse the www.hardwareheaven.com on my computer at home, running IE on XP, the web browser just waits a few seconds and the shows a dns error fails! The stranger part is that after that, I can't use IE to browse ANY other pages on the web and only a restart can return it back to work. This bug only affects IE and all other TCP programs function with no problem after this happens. Anybody got an Idea what's going on?
So far this behaviour is unique to DH web site and has never happened on any other web site.

PS. I use Norton internet security 2004, have installed all the latest patches for IE and XP and as far as ad-aware shows, my machine doesn't seem to be infected by any torjan or such...

there are bugs with NIS 2004, we have dealt with some people in email about this already and norton are aware of the issue. its actually not a unique problem with DH.

When I try to come here, it takes quite a few seconds for it to start loading the page wonder if its a similir issue

No it isn't

Load time are good here - 1 or 2 secs per page.

At home DH runs nice and fast.. here at work it is a little slower but that is due to our Proxy server

Try this... in the Internet Options -> Advanced tab, if the "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections" option is enabled, try not to use it, and see if you get a better page loading. may be the server is require only HTTP/1.0.

Thanks but that doen't help with our proxy.I tried that several months ago.... they have some pretty tight security on it so it slows down the web a bit.... They are pretty strickt on our web browsing at work and they scan every site we go to. The only reason I am able to get to DH is my good friend is on the Security team that runs the proxy and he allows DH... NIce to have friends in the right places..
