Maybe I could help you? I created (a php-based) rss news feed generator as well (for a project by myself). It gets the news from a database, converts it correctly and creates the output ...

What kind of problem do you have with yours?

The title tags are empty, so the subject line is missing - it is sometimes hard to guess what the posts are about... Can this be fixed so the title field contains the post subject?

Our PHP build doesn't have the iconv or mb_convert_encoding functions to convert from our newsposters character sets

We now have the support for multibyte strings, so the RSS feed should work 100% of the time now
