shouldn't be a problem mate. My IP changes all the time. Sometimes I have IPs in completely different ranges because sometimes I turn off my proxy settings and connect direct to the net.

I used to logon from work as well and this had a totally different range from my home PC.

So long as you use the same login ID and password, you shouldn't have any probs at all.

btw Which ISP are you going for?

Dom is on a distinguished road

My IP changes all the time as well. Shouldn't be any different than logging in at a friends house.

i have never loged on from another pc before so just checking.login & password is no problem or email either.only take about 30 seconds to swap that.

its not a huge jump but the offer i were given save me a little money each month.

my current is btopenworld 512k for £29.99 per month.

offer given to me is ntlworld 600k for £14.99 for the first three months £24.99 there after and free conection & free cable modem.

reason in doing so they have a decent package for 1mb for £34.99 (possible future upgrade) where as my current isp has now put the offer for 1mb for £42.99 way out of pocket.

Hey you should love NTL compared to BT, no more loggin in. I've never had a problem with them, always good speed, no outages to date. Unlike my friends on ADSL they never stop complaining

Yes, unfortunatley some people cant control their behaviour and this can end up in IP bans.

an update

unfortunately there has been a cock-up on the date of transfer. it is now the 13 april.

reason I'm posting this now my current isp bill date is also the 6th of each month.as from then i will discontinuing my internet access for that period of one week as i do not intend paying £30 for one week's access.

so just informing zardon/zerodamage/veridian3 i will not be online for any news posting.just making you aware of this as i am not abandoning my posting.

Man. No internet for a week!. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't access the net for that long. Maybe I'd re-acquaint myself with the outside world. Or say 'hi' to my wife in person instead of by email.

My wife uses her laptop downstairs in the family room. My main rig is upstairs in my office. It's easier to send her an email than to shout down to her. But if I'm down in the family room with her (watching TV, surfing with my laptop) I will actually talk to her.

may i just add this is the 'feedback' forum for dh related stuff.

i only asked a simple question and were not intended as a discussion. i would like this thread to stay open for the time being for feedback from me.

threads in this forum tend to get closed when they go way off-topic like it is doing so now.

just a small mention to your post.you're wright there way better with full access straight from boot up.

everything is much quicker in particular the cable modem being connected to my pc via Ethernet cable.

just to add this thread can either die or be closed.
