isnt it great when they load fast. i like the way they are,especially with a huge difference swapping to cable modem.

The bandwidth they suck up sending spam should reduce the load times

Um? I don't know where you've been, but I find that this site loads slower than several other forums. I got BWX to back me up on that.

Remember that you can only download at your own speed which may have been maxed out with the old server. The new server won't make a crusty old 56k modem load DH any faster.

512 kilobyte or 512 kilobit cuz they are WAAAAAAAY different

One is 4.1mbps and the other is just .5mbps

I wouldn't be saying 512kbps is plenty fast if that's what you're saying...

512kbps is fine for internet browsing and the usual, anything over is only for pRon kings, I have 1024kbps here in the UK I tnink that's the top speed apart from commercial and some 2048 trial lines.

i'm down to 0.4 seconds to load the front page... and under 0.3 seconds for a thread that has 100 posts in one page.... (including flash sigs)... although there are times when other peoples sigs don't load up do to there hosts connection...

DH always loads quickly for me, even on the older server. The only time it was slow was opening the "win and ati entusiast card" seeing how its well past the 1000 mark now.

Standard home DSL here is 1500 download, 512 upload. You can then go to 2500/640 or 4000/640 right now. Cable is sometimes faster, sometimes slower, depends on where you are in the city and what time it is. I have 1500/512 right now.
