Suggestion: Computer Tutorial

Perhaps a guide to pc's that's a step up from general/common knowledge of pcs?

My school has a computer class, and it doesn't extend past "this is how you turn on a computer".

So something that gives the run-around about what tweaking is, what ram is, what's the difference between RDRAM and SDRAM.

Not too in-depth, but just something where someone can "Oh a heat sink, I know what that is" rather than "A heat sink? Didn't my mother use that to fry the calamari for last year's Christmas Eve dinner?"

And perhaps you could just attach it to the forum?

There probably is something like this, and I just didn't find it here.

I just checked out the DriverHeaven guides forum, and there isn't a computer tutorial. So I guess this thread can stay.

I'll look into it. It would benifit both me and the site, as I'm not really too educated with this stuff.

Plus, I'm going to go to college in the fall for this. So this may get me ahead of the competition I suppose.

I'm going to be working on it today, as one of my goals.

It would be good, because I know there's some who come into here just to post about X Box games, but haven't a clue about computers.

I'm dedicated. I might do it. It was one of my goals today, but I got into personal things today that complicated things, if you will.

hmmm.... when i usually do something.... i usually go WELL beyond the normal/expected..... so for me... i would probably spend a good couple million hours (it'd feel like)....
