Strange Security alert...
was browsing DH for a bit... left for about 15 minutes... came back... and boom... getting this message on the front page 2 times while loading... hitting cancel would result in the page loading fine.....
AD? just a heads up if anyone else is getting this as well..

i used to see that warning popups, not sure what's the actual cause...
if i config the internet zone to lower zone or default then i won't see it... if i remember correctly. i used to have a winXP installed on a partition which i've already remove it.. but at the time i have it i've installed the Tiny PF on the system, its log show some connections between my local ports and DH's.. DH has tried to connect some lower number ports... about 5 -15 ports and the ports number were somthing like 10xx - 10xx.. since i trusted this site so those logging didn't mean anything.. never bring that up.. and i'm not saying this as i know or am sure that those connections attempted have anything/something to do with the warning.. its just that i recalled the incidents and only maybe it's related. |

Ok, i put the XP partition that has the Tiny PF 5.5 installed back,
as soon as i connected i get its update version build 1332 which's the lastest build, installed it and rebooted then connect to DH, i didn't get the warning popups but some inbound TCP access.. on port no. 4xxx this time, and here's what i get on the Activity Monitor... ![]() and that's what i was talking about on my previous post, i don't know how the communication works so maybe i can get somebody to explain it to me. |

A long time ago the ad company ran GATOR in rotation. I instructed them to remove it stating never to add it back into rotation. I hate gator myself.
GATOR is not on this site or in any way a part of it. it has been installed on another site and is probably just rearing its ugly head when you are on here. |

don't worry, BiGBrOWnPimpsta, i know you're gool (opp just said i know again lol.)
------------------ about all of my previous msgs.. since i recalled i've seen this before and i thought maybe it's about the warning popups that Judas received so i went back to the way it were before and that was not a hard thing for me to do it.. so that i may have an explanation from ppls who are really know about the communications thing between my computer and this site during my visiting.. i'm not sure that i saw gator at the last time but i remember the communications thing tried accessing on unopened TCP ports during the page opening/loading sometimes got up to 15 lines with some others ads servers in between.. if i didn't have the Tiny logs then i would not know, there's nothing like this with other FW that i've used.. so this is not a formal charge of wrongdoing brought against the DH i never want to do that i only gave out the info becos i thought it's necessary, i'm not even know what it was.. and i didn't pay much attention at all last time.. |
