Who here uses Spywareblaster?

Reason I ask is because when I block the cookies on that list I get logged out from DH, then I get a popup at the same time.

Do you block cookies with Spyware blaster or other program?

Do you get logged out all the time?

When I allow the ad cookies (that spywareblaster blocks) I never get logged out..

So how many cookies do I need to allow so as not to get logged out from DH? I mean besides the regular ones. Obviously one or more of the ad cookies being blocked is logging me out of DH somehow.

Hmm, I get "booted off" being auto logged in, all the time, 20, to 30 times a day depending how much I'm viewing DH pages.. All of the sudden I won't be logged in anymore.

I wish there was a way to see how long my cookies are staying active, maybe some program deletes them too fast or something.. I dunno- All I know is I go to reply to a post and I have to log in most of the time.. I usually spot that I'm not logged in when reading posts and I notice that on;y a few posts per page is being displayed when I have it set to 50 posts per page.

I know some other people were having this problem, I want to find a link as it's getting to the point that I've lost many posts - sick of logging in multiple times daily. All started a few weeks after new server and when I started using Spyware blaster- Usually when I get logged out I get a pop under form DH-- There must be a link between the two as often as it happens... If I new which cookie DH ads put on my PC I'd just allow them to be there- but I like Blocking most other ad cookies.

Now instead of 50 cookies, Adaware only find 1, 2, 3 or none when I scan weekly... That shouldn't boot me off being logged in though... It's only DH that it happens with, I've deleted ALL cookies, changed passwords multiple times, even changed my user name (it used to be BWX232)-- still I get logged out.. only DH... Very annoying, and doesn't make sense.

try putting driverheaven in the "safe" list in internet explorer's security tab, de-select the checkbox at the bottom of the add website dialog

Yeah I'll see what those settings are now- I know what they used to be- but things get changed around sometimes I guess.

**EDIT**
It won't let me-- it says it needs to be a "https" site to be put there.. Hmm, I dunno...
I do know that since I have been running Spyware blaster my internet connection has been better than it's been in 2 years... It's consistently very fast. I'll have to see if some other program is trying to time-out my DH Cookie or something..

The auto logouts are getting really bad two... instead of two or 3 every couoe days so far i've been logged out about 10 times this hour
May 7, 2004 05:05 AM
Like that- but I guess it's ok for Neon now..

like this below- but those things didn't apply to me and at that time I wasn't getting loggged out..

very strange- well maybe someone is having the same problem and they will post here and I can figure it out.
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...threadid=43299

**EDIT**

I haven't been to this forum in weeks, maybe a month, - http://forum.abit-usa.com/index.php?s= but I am still logged in.. And there are many other forums that I hardly ever go to that keep me logged in forever. That's why I'm thinking it's some sneaky ad cookie- cause I always get a pop under even if I enable google pop up blocker- then I get logged out.. it's almost like the ad is booting my out of being "logged in", as strange as that sounds. Oh well, I'll keep trying to look for something on my end.

did you ever reinstall your OS BWX? if not, and other people are using the same Operating system and software and experiencing no problems then I suggest you should.

I've come here and had to login occasionally (maybe once or twice a week), but I've never been logged out WHILE I was here. I use Spywareblaster set to full protection. I'm using Netscape as my browser.

I had the problem the other day for the first time and just cleared by cache and cookies and the problem was solved. Spywareblaster doesn't effect DH at all.

Nope Zardon I haven't reinstalled yet- I'm going to North Carolina for about a week, so I'll probably do that when I get back. I haven't found myself being logged out for a couple days now though- since I messed with my privacy settings), maybe the problem has been fixed- I put driverheaven.net in my privacy policy as "always allow"- so maybe that did it...

(I got the ATI T-shirt, Thanks!)
