problems with supporting DH. banner ads etc.

Okay here is the deal. To go through everything to unblock the banner ads and the popup ads and everything is going to be SOOO much work you wouldnt believe it. This computer has layers opon layers of ad removal things that its just crazy to turn it off.

And honestly when i turn it off for DH, the ads appear elsewhere so this isnt such a viable option for me.

That being said, DH is one of the few places that I WANT to support. So I know this may sound odd, but could anyone tell me what the hyperlinks for the ads are so I can click on them and thus support DH? I really want to help DH but not any other site. Plus im just plain lazy I admit.

anyone can help me with that? Or better yet, setting up Firefox, the HOSTS file, and a number of other forgotten protections to allow ONLY DH to have ads.

the actually come direct from an ad server, so unblocking ads here will unblock ads elsewhere too

exactly and thats the problem.

I dont want ads elsewhere. I spent alot of time making sure I never got ads. I finally find a site that deserves the support and unblocking it would mean unblocking everyone else!

I've tried but that doesnt work. All that shows up is the ATI flash ad. thats it. I have to whitelist the actual ad server. :-\

What tools are you blocking ads with?

Whitelist DH should show ads, ATI isn't an ad, it's a local flash file, that shouldn't be blocked by any ad software anyway.

The urls are script generated, so it'd only be good for the original load.

using Firefox.... it was easy to allow this site's pop-under.... FF feels a bit bloated for me already with some additional plugins.... probably just needs better configuration on my end....

okay I have firefox but it isnt blocking anything off of DH. Then I have spyware blaster which seems to block some stuff. Then I have the HOSTS file. And a few reg hacks that unfortunatly I did awhile back and do not remember where to find them.

in any case I'd guess that the HOSTS file would be the first place to look but then I'd have to find the ad server and remove it from the HOSTS file.

someone sounds paranoid...lol

i just use FFox's ad blocker and a chrome file hack and it works wonders...lol

no need for panicware or anythign like that
