Default Post Windows section

After looking through all of the sections and being here for a while I've noticed a couple of things:

#1 = There are a lot of posts that deal with Windows in all of its' incarnations and the other OS'es.

#2 = The posts are scatered all over hell and back so keeping track of OS posts, problems, fixes and tips is rather hard.

#3 = We do have a section for software, However, I feel that Windows and all of the other OS'es deserve their own seb-section.

#4 = I see a Linux section should we expand on this and make it into a couple of sections? Say Windows, Linux, Mac and others??

So I would like to put this to a vote and see if the populace of Driverheaven agree with me or not.

I agree man. So then the technology section wouldn't become so cluttered.

Or so cluttered in general, find myself looking for responses on the same subject, in different places

Yeah, I think "Cpu's, Hard drives, operating systems, software, apps, future products & much more!" is just a bit too broad

I think that though it is broad, this forum isn't an excessively large one where searching for threads on OS topics is almost out of the question because of the number of threads, relevant and otherwise, that would pop up. I say we keep it, and if there is a significantly larger percentage of OS posts versus other types, then maybe we should talk to some of the mods about starting a new area...

Ya???, sorry your speaking too fast

I think were talking Bout an overall format, no serious mods, just the use of some organizational skills.

I find myself looking for the same ideas, on totally different threads, and forums,

Thats all

Lol my bad I have a bad habit of long sentences and long posts - basically, if there are too many, then maybe a new section is worth it to reduce clutter. I think that right now, we're fine and don't need any new sections.

actually I had been talking about this for a while now with cyborg and the admins, it slipped my mind recently, and I think its viable to make a dedicated forum section due to the amount of posts.

so its done.

Well I've moved nearly all the windows based threads from tech to the new windows forum, hopefully people will start using it

wow that was fast - now that we have a new section, i think I'll use it, but I'll reserve judgement on it's necesity until I see how many posts per day there are in the new area...
