No Replies allowed?

Why are some News posts without Reply buttons, and such? (for example, the Fox/Philips Digital TV thread)
No biggie, just wondering

when we post news front page, we have the option to mirror it in the news forum if we wish. in this case id love to say I didnt wish it to be mirrored in the news forum, but with my aging years I forgot to click the news forum option.
