Outages

Interesting - I noticed a couple of times around 10:48 PST when the site went down for a couple minutes. Was this planned, something on my end, or just one of those random things? They both ended after about 2.5 minutes (I was refreshing every minute or so, and on the third refresh DH came back)...

EDIT: Now DH is somewhat slow, and every once and a while super-snail slow, and I'm getting connections refused on occasion. Is DH under a DDOS or something?

EDIT EDIT: Now it's much better - so maybe this was just server maint?

dont know, I was in bed, but remember the site does sometimes get close to 1 million hits a day.

True, but there were two outages in a row, so that made me think that we were either being attacked, under maint. or /.ed

However, they might have just been oddities of the internet, never to be seen again

The outage happened to me too- couldn't get the site for a while yesterday- so it wasn't on your end (unless you have Adelphia for an ISP)

Nope - I have Earthlink through Time-Warner fiber... hmmm, I couldn't get the site for a couple minutes around 3:30pm PST yesterday... same time for you?

Yup, that time sounds about right- I wasn't looking at clock- but must have been real close to that time.
